I am a postgraduate student in Anthropology at BHU with a background in Computer Science (B.Tech). My academic journey has shaped me into someone who not only understands human behavior and society but also knows how to use technology to solve real-world problems.
While my B.Tech helped me develop skills in programming and system design, my study of anthropology taught me to think critically, understand people from different backgrounds, and conduct meaningful fieldwork and research. These combined skills were especially useful during my project on a hospital management system, where I focused not just on technical features but also on how users interact with systems in real healthcare settings.
I also completed an internship that gave me exposure to practical work environments, strengthening my ability to collaborate, communicate, and manage time effectively. Alongside my studies, I have been working as a self-employed tutor, which has improved my patience, leadership, and ability to explain complex ideas in simple ways.
I am now looking to apply this mix of technical knowledge, social understanding, and real-life experience in a meaningful role—especially in the public sector, where I can contribute to inclusive and people-centered development.
Dissertation: "Effects of inequality on meritocracy in India"
I am currently working on this dissertation to explore how social and economic inequalities in India—such as those based on caste, class, gender, and access to resources—impact the idea of meritocracy. Meritocracy means people succeed based on their skills and efforts, but in reality, not everyone starts from the same point.
This research aims to understand how privileged backgrounds often provide better opportunities, while many talented individuals from disadvantaged groups face barriers despite working hard. Through case studies, interviews, and data analysis, I'm examining how inequality limits fair competition and what steps can be taken to ensure more equal access to opportunities.
The work is still in progress and aims to contribute to the discussion on fairness, justice, and true merit in modern Indian society.
