• Planning and Optimization for 3G/LTE delivery
• Achieve & maintain the Radio Network Performance as per the contracted KPIs (Accessibility, Retain ability, Mobility & Service Integrity) for new sites.
• On a daily basis, check sub-Market level Voice KPI’s (CQI, AxR, CS RET, CS ACC) and Data KPI’s (PS ACC & PS RET) and identify the specific KPI of the site that is causing the degradation (e.g. QD-R, PS SRB Drop %, CS RRC Conn % etc.)
• Evaluate current and past alarms on the RNC and NodeB. Determine if current or past alarms relate to the current degradation defect
• Check Real-time RSSI to determine Real-time RSSI values and check historic RSSI trends. If interference is suspected, engage MNRC RAN via ticket for restarting the site.
• Check RAX and Tx Utilization
• Evaluate neighboring sectors and second-tier neighbors for related impacts. Check metrics for neighboring sites; determine if there are similar degradations as the key site (e.g. increased RSSI, traffic spike, IuB issue, etc.)
• Formulate capacity upgrade and/or plan new site/s to address capacity issues region-wide.
• Dimensioning of RAN Network (CEs, Channel Cards, Node Bs, RNCs) for coverage and capacity and quality requirements.
• Analysis of site performance after integration using drive test measurements.
