  • Successfully led the transformation initiative of waterfall to Scaled agile for one of the top banks in the USA. In this journey we have followed a few key steps listed below.
  • Understanding the system, problems, Goals and why the SAFe only
  • Identify a portfolio or project for a pilot project, and key stakeholders of the initiative.
  • Planned a SAFe workshop for key stakeholders and then formed an Agile Centre of Excellence.
  • Started the journey with a single agile team of 10 members and paired this team with existing team as part of knowledge transition.
  • Come-up with a plan of adding a new team on 4th iteration and pairing it with existing team, and then on 7th iteration we added the 3rd team and aligned all of these teams on a single goal.
  • At the end of 12th iteration, there were in total 6 agile teams working on a single initiative.
  • One single ART was formed after the 12th iteration, and this art of 6 teams was working on single GOAL (PI objectives).
  • During this journey, we defined a few ground rules for each and every member of the team, focus on continuous improvement, Enable the trust, philosophy of one team - one Dream (Alignment to go beyond the expectations), Build the growth mindset to solve customer problems on time and with the quality, and finally take a step back to identify the delays and dependencies to improve further.
  • After the successful implementation of one ART, we finally launched 4-5 Arts and extended our journey to other portfolios. Key success factors were involvement of stakeholders on need basis and quick decision making for any kind of improvement(s).
