Project-Tauhara Geothermal Power Station

I worked on New Zealand's largest geothermal power station project, supervising the civil works. As a site engineer, I checked all structural and architectural shop drawings to ensure that they were consistent with current design and specifications, and liaised with clients (Sumitomo Corporation, Contact Energy) on project updates and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Supervised and monitored daily tasks of subcontractors.
• Recorded daily events and activities in site diary to evaluate processes and improve productivity.
• Control budget and prioritize resources across projects to make sure project is on schedule.
• Update project progress via highlighting reports and handle weekly client meetings.
• Liaising with council for consents and organizing inspections to handling site inspections.
• Ordered and tracked delivery of construction materials and supplies from vendors.
• Managing project documentation by maintaining record of incoming paperwork like PS3'S, minor variations from related stakeholders.

Projects- City Rail Link (CRL) and Central Interceptor (CI)

Wilson Tunneling is one of the largest subcontractors for producing tunnel segments for CRL and CI projects. As a quality engineer, I handled the quality of the materials in the production and delivery departments. Documented and reported defects and raised NCRs for client approval.

Responsiblities

• Carried out pre-pour and post-pour inspections to ensure quality of the products.
• Performed quality inspections and drafted reports to detail non-conforming material issues.
• Assisting quality manager with quality engineer training and advice.
• Managed project documents, blueprints, and specifications.
• Handled clients and communicated deadlines to ensure deliveries were completed on time.

Projects- Dwaraka Villas ( Sholinganallur, Chennai), Lakshmi Ammal Apartments ( Thoraipakkam, Chennai)

End-to-end project planning, budget control, and managing cross functional teams. As designated junior project manager, I carried out tasks such as reviewing and assigning subcontractors, procurement, quality assurance, liaising with clients and vendors, managing site laborers, hazard control, and ensuring all environmental controls are in place.

Responsibilities

● Organizing sub-trades, materials, plants, and permits for projects.

● Scheduled work package using MS Project.

● Sourced and obtained quotes from material suppliers; managed labour workforce.

● Liaising with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers throughout the lifecycle of project.
