Summary

Ph.D. graduate in Plant Pathology and an innovative professional with hands-on experience in plant disease diagnostics, nematode management, and microbial screening for disease control. Through translational research under the DIA program at C-CAMP, I was actively involved in projects on pomegranate blight control using bacterial isolates, the isolation of fungal pathogens from infected leaves and screening of 700 bacterial isolates for antifungal activity, as well as the development of botanical pesticides for sustainable crop protection.

  • Currently working under the Discovery to Innovation Accelerator (DIA) Program at C-CAMP, a national translational research initiative supported by the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.
  • The program aims to bridge the gap between academic research and industry by supporting technology validation, product development, and commercialization.
  • I started my career through a prestigious program, where I played a major role in the execution of a project focused on botanical pesticide development, emphasizing insect pest management strategies. The project was out-licensed to one of the listed companies for further product development and registration.
  • Maintained and collected aphid culture to support experimental requirements.
  • Designed and implemented extraction processes for botanicals, performing lab-based bioassays for efficacy testing.
  • Screened bacterial strains against fungal pathogens using high-throughput methods.
  • Isolated and identified fungal pathogens from infected leaves using molecular techniques.
  • Oversaw project planning, including objective setting and timeline management.
  • Conducted result analysis with Prism software, providing comprehensive reports on findings.
