  • To assure completeness and accuracy of charges/billing to the customers and associated costs to business.
  • Detect problems that affect revenue and cost integrity by asking following questions. e.g. are all customers on correct plan? is customer being charged more than twice? customer only have access to services and features that they are paying for? etc.
  • Identify un-billed, over-billed, under-billed revenues, unnecessary costs, rebates, fines, penalty payments, Contractual liabilities, Inflated costs and reporting inaccuracy.
  • Work in sub-domains of business assurance like subscription, tariff, rating & pricing, charging, payments assurance, order management & provisioning and Product management.
  • Define scope of project, manage the upcoming work and define solutions, developing project plans & monitoring performance using agile methodology.

  • Follow business assurance lifecycle :-

1. Data discovery- Potential risk areas are identified through various channels as part of discovery phase.
2. Investigation- Each issue is fully investigated by completing an audit of systems and processes.
Identifying various scenarios of products and systems affected.
3. Reconciliation- A report is specifically designed and built to test/validate various scenarios associated
with issues.
4. Analysis-Output from reconciliation is assessed to quantify the customer and business impact.
Preliminary root cause is analyzed at this stage.
5. Recovery- Further validation of the output is carried out and the impact to business and/or customers decided with key stakeholders.
6. BAU control/reports- Controls or reports are created to monitor issues of a similar nature and highlight when they occur. Minimizing risks to the business and customers as well as ensuring timely recovery of revenue.
7. Root cause management- Deep dive into root cause for isolating source of the issue and determine an appropriate solution.

Successful Project Deliveries

  • Successful Reports Migration to GCP (BT): Successfully led the migration of reports from SQL code to BigQuery, facilitating a smooth transition to the Google Cloud Platform.


  • BT Basic service assurance (BT) : Successfully delivered this project to assure that vulnerable BT customers are getting BT Basic discount. Performed data analysis & discovery on customer's service & billing data to find out ineligible customers who are getting BT Basic benefits and causing revenue leakage. Along with this also assured completeness, validity and timeliness on BT basic discount.


  • Auto Compensation (BT) : As per agreed service, whenever there is delay in broadband engineer's appointment customer is eligible for compensation of agreed amount. Worked on Auto-compensation project to make sure that only eligible customers are getting auto-compensation amount whenever engineer's appointment is delayed.


  • Broadband completeness (BT) : Timely delivered this project to assure that customer is provided with broadband service and details are in sync across CRM, Billing and supplier's end. Successfully identified the BT customers who are not getting charged for the active services and vice versa.


  • Price freeze for Landline customers (BT) : Successfully delivered this project to assure that solus BT PSTN customers are not getting charged with new inflated price which is decided as per yearly price rise plan. Also assured that only eligible customers are getting a landline discount. Received appreciation for smoothly delivering this project within agreed timelines.


  • EE Smart Wifi : Successfully delivered this project to assure that EE Broadband customers who buy Smart wifi as an addon are not overcharged or double charged. As part of this project, I had to make sure the existing customers regarding to new Broadband plans are not over charged for Smart wifi addon. I had to make sure the updates were captured in Jira and respective components had updated the JIRA tickets assigned. Also necessary updates regarding the product had to be done on Confluence.


  • Incident reduction drive : BT's aggressive goal of slashing application incident counts by 40% was shattered through a data-driven approach. We meticulously analyzed incident types, enabling us to categorize them & collaborate with the development team on permanent solutions. This proactive strategy not only eliminates recurring issues but also translates to significant cost reductions in the long run.
