• Capable of developing BIM models ranging from LOD 200 to LOD 500 and producing accurate 'COBie data information'
• Ensure the highest quality in all BIM package submissions in accordance with project standards, requirements, and the BIM execution plan
• Lead internal coordination meetings and attend external coordination meetings
• Supervise BIM modelers and collaborate with the design/engineering team to resolve any model challenges
• Lead the creation, coordination, and management of MEP BIM models for the project
• Implement BIM standards and protocols for MEP design and construction processes, including modeling conventions, file structures, and naming conventions
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external teams, including architects, structural engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure MEP systems are fully integrated into the overall project
• Facilitate coordination meetings to discuss model progress, clashes, and other technical issues
• Conduct clash detection and coordination sessions using tools such as Navisworks to identify and resolve conflicts between MEP, architectural, and structural models
• Utilizing Navisworks software to conduct clash detection through the Clash detection matrix method
• Perform Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) checks on MEP models to ensure they comply with project’s BIM requirements for both geometric and non-geometric information
• Review MEP drawings for accuracy and completeness before final As-built drawings submission
• Lead the development of detailed MEP models that include accurate systems for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection
• Monitor and report on the progress of MEP BIM modeling activities and ensure timely completion of tasks
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of all BIM processes, changes, and updates related to the MEP systems
• Mentor junior BIM coordinators and modelers in MEP systems, helping them improve their skills in BIM software and coordination processes
• Led and managed a diverse team of 15+ professionals effectively coordinating project planning, execution and quality control to ensure successful outcomes within designated schedules and budgets
• Working closely with BIM Modelers and coordinators, who are responsible for producing project information models with the usage of cloud-based collaboration platforms to fulfil CDE workflows, such as ACC, BIM 360
• Ensure BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDP) and Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP) are developed and maintained
• Ensure that the project adheres to industry BIM standards such as ISO 19650 standards
• Using checklists set up for quality control on each project and submitting work according to deadlines
• Manage COBie data requirements as per project specifications and client standards (e.g., ISO 19650 or PAS 1192-3)
• Skilled in creating both parametric and non-parametric family creation
