International Data Pass Project 

The IDP project enables new process for subscribers to purchase international data pass, where the roamer clicks a link included in a message , sent by provider where the roamer can choose from a list of optional data passes, at any time , while outside the U.S and without account holder authorization.

Role :-

• Designed and developed APIs that facilitate communication between the frontend application and the backend servers. These APIs will handle requests from roamer devices and process the data pass purchase flow.
• Written test cases using JUnit , MOCKITO framework.
• Integrated Kafka based microservice communication by sending and receiving messages.
• Used Splunk to monitor, report and analyze Logs from the services.

Customer Initiated Port in 

The CIP project aims to enable self-service for business customers, allowing them to initiate port-in requests via SMS after receiving their device or SIM. The flexible approach accommodates the uncertainty of when end-users will be ready to port their numbers

Role:-

• Implemented a bulk upload functionality, allowing customers to fill an Excel sheet and effortlessly upload port-in data.
• Developed APIs and seamlessly integrated multiple features using Java and Spring Boot, rigorously testing them via the Postman client.
• Crafted a new microservice from the ground up and created Swagger documentation.
• Successfully addressed and resolved bugs, ensuring smooth operation.
• Provided assistance during production releases.

Security Migration 

Security measures were implemented for the APIs to ensure the microservices remained secure. Access to the APIs was restricted to authorized IDs in order to prevent fraud.

• Established a whitelist for API access, limiting it to specific clients authorized to use the APIs
• Analyzed and enhanced the security features of existing APIs.

IMEI Tool 

The IMEI tool is employed for the mass blocking or unblocking of IMEIs. Access to this tool is limited to a select group of users in the production environment. To block or unblock IMEIs, a user can choose from a drop down menu of reasons. The tool uses a micro frontend architecture to manage its complexity and enhance testability.

• Worked with the database team to design the database schema and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
