  • Strategic Sourcing:
  • Periodic search for competent suppliers in terms of quality, price & delivery.
  • Vendor development, Rate Negotiation & Formulating Commercial contracts with best of Terms & Conditions.
  • Preparation of Rate contracts and data bank of prices for ready reckoning and instant estimations.
  • YOY Cost Reductions.
  • Monitors latest Trends & regulations in Raw Material along-with taxations for effective negotiation.
  • Supplier Management:
  • Driving & monitoring Vendor Performance Management through Vendor Score Card
  • Ensure Half Yearly Business Reviews (HBR) with Suppliers to drive strategic initiatives
  • Proactively ensures all suppliers adhere to agreed service levels and to have contingency plans of supply for all core product ranges.
  • New Project Development:
  • Close alignment with NPD team to follow project deadlines.
  • Follow APQP.
  • Monitor Development Plan & streamline actions effectively.
  • Ensure proper co-ordination within Sales Team, PPC to ensure effective forecast.
  • Review purchase orders as per production plan & respective Lead Time.
  • To ensure adherence to Terms & Conditions & Oversees the order acknowledgement from the Vendors.
  • Work in co-ordination with Quality team to ensure compliance and timely release of Finished Goods
  • To Ensure delivery of goods as per schedule to optimize Freight cost & also to balance Inventory.
  • Ensuring FG planning in line with market demands balancing Inventory both at Manufacturer and in-house.
  • Statutory and Internal Compliance:
  • Responsible for ensuring valid agreements with Suppliers; e.g NDA, SQA etc.
  • Ensuring on time closure of CAPA, after sales Warranty concerns & Deviations raised by Quality team, if any.
  • Responsible for compliance to mutually agreed procurement policies
  • Ensuring On time payment to Suppliers by coordinating with key stake holders.
  • Liaise with Technical department while new product launch or in matters relating to product specification.
  • Overseeing the technical and QA requirements on all items (materials, components, and parts) to ensure that purchased items meets design requirements.
  • Effective coordination & respective correspondence with various departments for smooth functioning of departmental activity, particularly with NPD, sales, RND, logistics, accounting & ERP departments.
  • Align & motivate team members to achieve respective KRAs & streamline it with organizational goals.
