• Awarded DGCR / ParakramPadak (DG-BSF) Awarded DGCR / Parakram Padak for foiling infiltration attempt on Matkula post of Akhnoor border in Jammu on 17 January 2007. This was supported by an ambush of Pak Rangers. Along with the team detected the infiltration attempt and successfully repulsed the attack. Got wounded while returning the fire but despite that saved the area from getting breached and the terrorist fled to Pakistan
