• Handling the shift for section changing & other activities like planning, production and quality of rolled product.
• Controlling the quality of product, yield maintaining and improvement.
• Responsible for all manufacturing activities in shifts i.e. availability of equipments And roll assembly’s required tooling & accessories.
• Responsible for coordination of all departments like maintenance of mechanical and electrical and also preparing SOP for Meeting the production target.
• Responsible to monitor, record and implement the corrective and preventive action as recommended.
• Responsible for proper handling and storage of guides, roll unites and it’s supporting post.
• Monitoring & planning of Assembly and dismantling of stands for further section of rolling.
• Ensuring the proper mill setting during section change.
• Responsible to ensure the stock size of all stands as per standard during section change
• Monitoring the sample frequency of running section after size setting.
• Monitoring the walking hearth furnace’s parameters for proper soaking of material.
• Keeping a track of rolling parameters like temperature, mill speed, loopers and Surface Quality of finished products.
• Controlling the size variation of different grades of steel like Plain carbon, alloy, bearing and Sulphur while rolling.
• Single line rolling for better surface finish. Online controlling and correction of sections during rolling so that material should be well within the standard quality limits
• Maintaining 5S and TPM activities and proper training given to team members
• Responsible for ensuring good housing and safety measures and Quality control procedures (SOP) and standards followed.
