Vendor Development

• Identifying and developing alternate vendor source for localization, achieving cost effective purchases of all materials with reduction in delivery time and improve consistency in quality.
• Assessing the performance of the vendors based on various criterions such as quality systems, rejections, quality improvement rate, timely delivery etc.

Cost Reduction

• Spearheading Value Analysis continuous improvement initiatives in processes.
• Commodity Handling- Leather, Fabric, Plastic, Non-woven , Metals, Packaging, Machining & spare parts etc.
• Continuous cost reduction in material procurement without effecting product quality.
• Accountable for time-bound cost reduction, standardization & variety reduction of materials across the board, so as to achieve optimal supply chain efficiencies.

Purchase/Sourcing/ Procurement

• Handling sourcing through identification of cost effective vendors/suppliers for procurement with an aim of reducing cost while improving quality & productivity.
• Proper Material procurement plans for Capital items, Consumable items, process items & maintenance items etc.,
• Coordinating with other departments for material requirement planning, material procurement & purchase planning, ensuring continuous supply.
• Managing inventory levels for ensuring ready availability to meet procurement & dispatch targets.

Materials Standardization & Inventory Reduction

• Standardization of Direct Materials data-base.
• Establishing Safety Stocks, Re-Order Levels and Re-Order Quantities.
• Replenishment of stocks.
• To curtail the inventories of direct materials without affecting availability.
• System improvement and procurement process streamlining
• Budgeting & cost comparison, proficient in cost analysis.
