Cover Letter

This brings to introduce myself as Dr. Nallamolu Bala Venkata Sivaram, working as Professor and HOD – Pharmaceutics in Sir C R Reddy College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, India.

It gives me immense pleasure in writing this cover letter to express my skills, attitudes towards the pharmaceutical technology field. The potential skills that encompasses in me are, the technical skills needed for the pharma industry which engraves me to be a skillful industrial pharmacist. These skills, I have proved myself when I was working in the Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Hyderabad as FR&D Pharmacist-Executive cadre in formulations development of various dosage forms. Here I could able to excel myself in learning and handling the various pharmaceutical equipments like 16 station cadmach compression machine, coating & polishing pans, fluidized bed coater cum drier, capsule filling machine, semisolid filling and crimping machine, laminar air flow cabinets etc. The experience gained in Dr. Reddy's excelled me in teaching various pharmaceutical subjects like Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Pharmacy Administration, Validation, QC & QA subjects with ease by quoting live pharma examples and GMP templates.

The next biggest mile stone in my pharmacy career is my role in International Medical University (IMU), Kualalumpur, Malaysia, as faculty in the school of pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology department. Here I could able to learn, implement and enhance my teaching and research skills significantly under the guidance of Prof. Michael John Rathbone, Dean of Pharmacy School. His guidance and support is unforgettable. I could able to complete my Ph.D. studies under his guidance. I had the opportunity to send my B.Pharmacy students every year from 2010 to 2017 for their research studies to National University of Singapore (Assoc. Prof. Wan Sia Paul Heng, Dept. of Pharmaceutical Technology an expert in solid dosage forms

research) and Prince Songkhla University, Thailand (Assoc. Prof. Teerapol Srichana an expert in Aerosols drug delivery systems). In IMU, Malaysia I was appointed as the E-learning coordinator for implementing online teaching to students additional to face - face teaching, which is an initiative of the university. In this E-learning leadership I have driven the pharmacy staff in acquiring the new teaching skills by giving training and making them to deliver lectures thru Articulation mode (i-lectures). In addition, I had a passion for teaching thru use of modern educational tools. So introduced in IMU for the first of its kind and implemented “Kahoot” as the new mode of teaching to Pharmaceutical Chemistry students, where the difficult topics were explained very clearly with ease. The feedback from the students was really mesmerizing and awesome for the new mode of teaching implemented and delivered by me.

On the whole, I had a mix blend of teaching and learning methods from Pharma Industry and Academia backgrounds. These skills will definitely help me to implement in your esteemed university/organization for dosage form research studies as well as regular teaching to the pharmacy students.

I am a part of curriculum development team in developing new programs of IMU across Pharm. Chem., Pharm. Practice, & Pharm. Tech departments. I had the privilege to teach across various branches of science programs in IMU.

I sincerely thank you for taking your valuable time in reading my experiences written in this cover letter. You are most welcome to contact me for any queries at any time. I am sure that I will be a good asset to your Pharmaceutical Technology department in handling various pharmaceutical equipments as well as in research studies while supporting the requirements of other departments.

I am sure that you will give me an opportunity to serve in your organization. I am eager enough to contribute my services to the best of my abilities with full passion and enthusiasm.

Thanking you

Yours sincerely

Dr. N B V Sivaram
