Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform ground level safety checks of the crane.
- Make sure the surrounding work area should be clear of vehicles or any hindrances.
- Remove wedges prior to commencement of work before starting the operations; perform standard operating procedure including pre-operational check.
- During inspections identify and report any defects to the shift in charges immediately.
- Check the main power supply, switch on the engine and then check the VMT, VHF and switch on the controls.
- Stay in the assigned communication channel
- Ensure that safe working load of RTGC is not exceeded
- Does not work with faulty equipment’s, in case of breakdown report immediately to shift in charge, tower control and maintenance?
- Ensure relieving has been done according to the hot seat exchange only
- After completing the shift, switch of the crane/ engine, battery and placed the wedges properly.
