Responsibilities:

• Getting the Cluster Hardware and operating system installed by the system admin team.
• Part of Database RAC installation team and testing the database for performance and HA.
• Migrating the production single instance database to RAC database. Migrating and integrating other departmental database with the newly installed centralized RAC database.
• Installing a disaster recovery database and replicating applications from RAC database to remote Disaster recovery database using multi master replication.
• Performance tuning of the centralized RAC database. Building scripts for administration and backup of the database.
• Providing database administration and 24*7 support to the client.

• Installation of both the primary database and standby database.
• Preparation of the primary and standby database for synchronization.
• Activating the log transfer from primary to standby database.

Responsibilities:

• Tuning SQL scripts used for uploading and refreshing billing Schema for generation of electricity and water billing data using Explain plain, TKPROF and top SQL in the AWR report. Increased the performance of the SQL statements to 300 to 400 percent,
• Creating indexes and modifying SQL statements bind parameters and analyzing their execution path for better performance.
• Reviewing the top SQL of the AWR report and reviewing their execution plans.

• Installation, administration, configuration, patching of production oracle database, development database, standby database and staging database.
• Provide support for Oracle RAC, including applying patches, performance tuning, backup and recovery issues with RMAN trace analysis, service creation, and cluster and system management.

• Upgraded the Oracle Databases of the organization from 10g Rel2 to 11g Rel1 and 11g Rel1 to 11gR2 and 11gr2 to 12c.
• Plans and implement sound backup and recovery policies and procedures for Oracle databases. Implementing the incremental, cumulative incremental and full RMAN backup for each database to have space management and effective recovery.
• Production archive log Maintenance through Shell Scripting and managing all databases issues through OEM alerts and shell scripting.

• Configured & monitoring the PROD databases on OEM Grid 10gR2.
