Benjamin Bargo

Conducts patrols of hospital campus to deter crime, enforce hospital policy, state laws and ensure the safety of the staff, patients, and the general public. Responds to emergency calls accidents, disturbances and criminal activity on the hospital campus. Issues citations, warnings, and arrests as necessary for violations of laws and ordinances. Annual training and professional development to maintain and enhance skills, as well as stay updated on current policies and laws.

Responded to emergency situations, providing first aid if necessary and coordinating with other emergency services as needed. Conducted investigations, gathered evidence, and assisted in the apprehension of suspects in criminal cases. Provided support to full-time police officers during special events, emergencies, and other situations as required.

Overseeing offenders in their day to day activities, patrolling property on foot and by vehicle. Responded to emergencies, using verbal skills to deescalate hostile and or tense situations. Escorted offenders to predetermined destinations outside of the facility and maintaining qualifications with IDOC Weapons.

Patrolling the perimeter of the property, responding to any and all emergencies or calls for assistance. Checked on staff at set intervals, addressing concerns or security issues that perimeter staff brought up and liaising with outside law enforcement agencies should their assistance be required.
