Serving as the Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer ( to be re-designated as Chief General Manager)at Deendayal Port Authority, the largest Port in India, my strategic financial acumen and audit management skills are pivotal in steering the organization's fiscal health. The port authority's economic objectives are met with rigorous financial analysis and uncompromising integrity in accounting, honed over two decades in the financial domain.
At the helm of Deendayal's accounting operations, our team's success is rooted in collaborative leadership and a commitment to operational efficiency. Our efforts ensure compliance and fiscal prudence, which are the cornerstones of our financial management strategy, ensuring the port authority's sustained economic growth and trusted reputation in the maritime industry.

Achievements:

1. Played a key role in awarding and development of following national projects:

  • International Container Transhipment Terminal, Vallarpadom, Kochi by Dubai Port World (Rs.2500 cr)
  • International Ship Repair Facility at Willingdon Island by Cochin Shipyard (Rs.1500 cr)
  • International Container Terminal at Tuna Tekra, Kandla, Gujarat by Dubai Port World(Rs.6000 cr)

2. During my tenure, Cochin Port has turnaround from a loss making Port to a profitable Port in the year 2017-18, by implementing various promotional measures like introducing various concessions / rebates for container vessels, bunkering etc and also introduced various austerity measures to control the expenditure.
3. I was the Functional Working Head for the ERP implementation in Cochin Port in 2009, and in Deendayal Port in the year 2020
4. I have ample experience in settling various long pending litigations through Conciliation process.

  • Developed and executed strategic business plans, resulting in increased market share and profitability. The Port continued No.1 position handling more than 100MMT cargo since 2014. The Net profit after tax increased by 91% from Rs.692 cr in 2019-20 to Rs.1320.56 cr in 2023-24.

  • Settlement of Long pending litigation with Petronet LNG Terminal through out of Court settlement and raising Rs.150 cr in 2019-20, which was considered as one of the best innovative measures by the Ministry of Shipping.
