I contribute to CitiBank's retail banking transactions as part of the US Retail Mainframe Support Group, ensuring operational excellence and meeting service delivery expectations. My role involves proactive monitoring and issue resolution, supporting CitiBank's focus on building enduring client relationships


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Mainframe operations monitoring: monitor mainframe batch jobs, MQ queues, and NDM transfers to ensure their completion within predefined SLAs, and generate on-demand reports based on client requirements
  • Incident management: Address user incidents by analyzing application issues and coordinating with application teams for triage and resolution
  • Customer support: provide detailed explanations to customers regarding checks and transactions processed in their accounts
  • JCL modification: modify existing JCLs to address and resolve batch failures in production swiftly and effectively
  • Issue Resolution: Monitor production systems, identify issues, and resolve them within SLA
    parameters to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Technical analysis: Analyze technical requirements, prepare detailed code analysis documentation, and implement solutions as required
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Participate in walkthrough meetings, SEV2/SEV3 incident management resolution, defect resolution, and defect triage calls with various stakeholders, support activities: Provide support for activities such as COB (Continuity of Business), IPL (Initial Program Load), disaster recovery (DR), server migrations, production deployments, and CICS recycle operations
