1. Instrumentation Engineering & Design:

• Responsible for instrumentation engineering and design activities for FPSO/offshore projects.
• Preparation and review of Instrument Index, I/O List, Cable Schedule, Cable Block Diagram, Wiring Diagrams, Instrument/JB Layouts, Hook-ups, LCP/UCP and ICSS deliverables.
• Review instrumentation specifications, datasheets, layouts and engineering documents.
  2. 3D Modelling & Model Review
• Review of instrument locations, instrument stands, impulse piping, JBs, cable trays and associated supports.
• Participate in 30%, 60% and 90% model reviews and close-out of model comments.
• Review of STP/model files and coordination with other disciplines.
  3. Area/Module Engineering
• Act as Area Engineer for assigned FPSO modules.
• Coordinate instrumentation requirements from engineering through modelling and deliverables.
• Ensure design compliance with project specifications, applicable codes and standards.
  4. Interdisciplinary & Interface Coordination
• Coordinate with Process, Electrical, Piping, Structural, Mechanical, Marine and other disciplines.
• Resolve interface issues related to instrument mounting, cable trays, penetrations, equipment locations and routing.
• Follow up for final interdisciplinary inputs required for instrumentation deliverables.
  5. Vendor & Client Document Review
• Review vendor drawings, datasheets, technical documents and instrument-related deliverables.
• Coordinate technical clarifications with vendors and EPC/client teams.
  Ensure vendor inputs are incorporated into engineering and 3D models.
  6. Cable Tray & Cable Engineering
• Review cable tray routing, tray sizing, cable segregation and instrument cable routing.
• Coordinate cable tray interfaces and tie-in requirements.
• Support cable MTO estimation and review of cable schedules and cable block diagrams.
  7. Instrumentation Installation & Mounting
• Develop/review instrument mounting arrangements, including instrument stands and multi-instrument mounting arrangements.
• Verify accessibility, elevation, maintenance requirements and installation constraints.
• Check impulse tubing/piping requirements, slopes and instrument installation arrangements.
  8. MTO & Material Engineering
• Review and update instrumentation MTOs based on latest model and engineering inputs.
• Verify installation materials such as cable glands, clamps, bolts, supports and other loose-supplied items.
• Coordinate discrepancies between catalogues, BOMs and project requirements.
  9. Technical Problem Solving
• Identify design clashes, constructability issues and interface discrepancies during model reviews.
• Provide engineering solutions considering accessibility, safety, installation and project standards.
• Support resolution of technical observations and engineering comments.
  10. Standards & Engineering Compliance
• Ensure instrumentation design complies with applicable project specifications and standards such as ISA, IEC, API and ASME requirements.
• Review requirements related to hazardous areas, functional safety, cable selection, instrument installation and offshore/FPSO practices.

• Executed offshore instrumentation as-built engineering activities for Qatar Petroleum projects.
• Prepared and reviewed instrumentation engineering deliverables including Instrument Index, I/O List, Cable Schedule, Loop Drawings, Hook-ups and Wiring.
• Prepared Instrument and Fire & Gas layouts and supported as-built documentation.
• Performed Red Line Mark-up activities to capture site modifications and actual installation conditions.

• Handled instrumentation engineering activities for two thermal power plant projects, covering engineering deliverables, procurement support, site engineering and as-built documentation.
• Prepared and reviewed Instrument Index, I/O List, Cable Schedule, Cable Block Diagram, Loop Drawings, Hook-ups, Wiring/Interconnection and Instrument/F&G Layouts.
• Supported instrument procurement, including technical specifications, vendor document review, technical clarifications and evaluation of instrumentation packages.
• Provided site engineering support for design queries, installation interfaces, drawing clarification and incorporation of site/commissioning feedback.
