Technical work responsibilities

• Preparation of mechanical datasheets, requisition, and bid tabulation of rotating equipment and packages (centrifugal and PD pumps, reciprocating compressor, aqueous ammonia package, demin water package, dosing package)
• Review the detailed design specification and drawings submitted by contractors for compliance with the design basis, specifications, codes, and standards
• Participating in and conducting the kick-off meeting, bid clarification meeting, project progress review meeting, HAZOP activities, risk assessment, and design review meeting
• Review detailed drawings submitted by vendors
• Attended the witness performance and mechanical run test of centrifugal pumps, PD pumps, and the lube oil system
• Responsible for completing activities as per the project schedule
• Internal and vendor coordination meetings, and engineering review meetings, as required, to establish a full understanding of the scope of supply (internal/vendor interface)
• Order follow-up and expediting with the vendor for document submission
• Review the piping and instrumentation diagram (PID) and process flow diagram, and comment on them from a rotating equipment perspective for better understanding and error-free installation at the site
• Technical support in construction and commissioning activities by preparing a construction and commissioning checklist, and resolving site queries on priority

Site support activities

• Provide rotating equipment technical support to projects in various lifecycle phases, including primary study and evaluation, pre-award evaluation, engineering, procurement, etc., analyzing the performance of equipment, and suggesting modifications by discussing with vendors for site support
• Providing technical solutions and support on rotating equipment to the site O&M team
• Root cause analysis (RCA) on the failure of equipment, or the requirement for modification of equipment
• Preparation of failure report analysis and taking corrective action (FRACAS) on the subject failure
• Doing value engineering wherever possible by analyzing system performance for energy savings
