I joined IndiGo as a trainee cabin crew member and got promoted as a Lead Flight Attendant (Cabin crew in-charge)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Security: Perform pre-flight safety checks, briefings, and demonstrations for passengers. Maintain awareness of emergency procedures and protocols. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Customer Service: Welcome passengers on board, assist with seating arrangements, and provide information about flight, services, and amenities. Serve meals, beverages, and snacks according to established procedures. Anticipate and respond to passenger needs with courtesy and efficiency.
  • Cabin Operations: Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and functionality of the aircraft cabin throughout the flight. Monitor cabin temperature, lighting, and ventilation to optimize passenger comfort. Secure and stow cabin equipment and supplies as necessary.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond effectively to various emergencies, including medical emergencies, turbulence, and equipment malfunctions. Follow standard operating procedures for evacuating aircraft and providing assistance to passengers as required.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate closely with fellow Cabin Crew members, cockpit crew, and ground staff to ensure smooth operation of the flight. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to relay important information and coordinate tasks.
  • Passenger Assistance: Assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors, elderly passengers, and differently-abled individuals. Provide compassionate care and support to passengers requiring assistance during the flight.
