Accomplished Scientist/Engineer with a Ph.D. in Space Sciences, previously at Aryabhatta Research Institute. Expert in optical astronomy and AI-driven image processing, with a proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Strong collaborator and leader in space situational awareness projects, enhancing satellite tracking capabilities.
I am a Scientist/Engineer-SE, at ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), Bangalore, India. In year 2020, he has completed his Ph.D. in Space Sciences from University of Liege, Belgium. After completion of the Ph.D. thesis work, in year 2021 he joined Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES), Nainital as a Research Associate and lead the installation of the first astronomy grade liquid mirror telescope, the 4-m International Liquid Mirror Telescope (ILMT) for night sky survey. Towards the end of 2021, he joined ISRO Headquarters, Antariksh Bhawan, Bangalore in a team dedicate for Space Situational Awareness and Management. Over last couple of years he has been involved in setting up optical sensors for satellite and orbital debris tracking. His primary research interests are optical astronomy, instrumentations, AI in image processing and astrodynamics. Bikram Pradhan is also one of invited member of India-Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) technical advisory group and working-group-1 of Inter-Agency Space Debris Coordination Committee (IADC). During his short scientific career, have published 5 first author and co-authored scientific papers in International and national peer reviewed journals as well as 8 conference proceedings.
