• Performed routine and complex studies and assisted in variety of imaging procedures.
• Ensuring patients are prepared for the procedure, includes explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and obtaining relevant medical history.
• Analyzing echocardiographic images to identify abnormalities such as valve defects, chamber enlargements, cardiac masses and accurately documenting findings.
• Working closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and develop treatment plans for patients.
• Adhering to quality assurance standards and protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results, including performing regular equipment maintenance and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Preapare the patient for the transesophagel echocardiographic procedure and set up the TEE equipment. Assist the cardiologist in performing the TEE procedure by postioning the patient correctly and analyze the TEE images in real-time to asses cardaic function and pathology. Document the findings and provide supportive care to the patient during and after the procedure,monitoring their recovery,addresing any post procedure discomfort or complications and ensuring their saftey and well being.
• Providing compassionate care to patients during the procedure, addressing any concerns or questions they may have, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the examination.
• Maintaining accurate patient records, including imaging results, procedure details, and any pertinent clinical information, in accordance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
• Engaging in ongoing education and professional development to stay abreast of advancements in echocardiography technology, techniques, and research findings.
• Adhering to all relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards governing echocardiographic practice, including patient confidentiality and informed consent
• Tracked findings of procedures such as EKGs using manual and automated recording devices.
