Transformers and Electricals Kerala Limited was established way back in December'1963 with the collaboration with power giant Hitachi Limited, Japan. My appointment as Managing Director of this company brought so many opportunities for me and many many challenges at the same time. The company has been operating in Covid regime with huge losses and the net worth of the company is eroding. However, on my joining I could increase the productivity many folds and the losses in the financial year 2020-21 could be reduced by Rs 15 Crores. On the positive side, now we operating at the profit of Rs 10 Crores in the Financial year 2021-22 upto September, 2022 closing. Turn around of a company makes me satisfied of delivering the worth and pose more challenges from competitive conditions in the market for power equipments. I feel confident that my strategic thinking and vision with business orientation will be able to meet our goals and give new dimensions to make our company ever growing in the years to come.

NTPC Ltd got Operation and Maintenance contract for 210 MW gas turbine power plant for six years in Dhaka, Bangladesh which was World Bank funded. As plant manager, I ensured that systematic adoption of Operation and Maintenance systems so that high availability of power plant was ensured always over 90%. The capacity of the plant was augmented through adoption of universal best practices and a rise of 11.5 MW was achieved. Under my
leadership, various measures of reducing the shut down period as well as quick parametric analysis for avoiding forced shutdowns were adopted. We have been very sensitive to the environment and took various disposal corrective measures to prevent contamination for the surrounding water bodies as well as air quality. The training inputs at regular interval through well designed programs has been our focused area to prepare for the smooth transition after six years of
contract completion. A very good response from our local stakeholders could make me more responsive to their requirements and felt us motivated for innovative thinking with goal oriented management.
