• Out patient endocrinology and diabetic clinics involving both adult and pediatric patients.

First Year of Residency:

• Working in Pediatric wards, PICU, NICU, on a rotatory basis. Basic sampling, dispatching and collecting investigations.
• Taking In-patient admissions, informing about the patient follow up to the senior resident.

Second Year of Residency:

• Working in Pediatric wards, PICU, NICU, OPD, on a rotatory basis.
• Taking the Unit rounds and informing the consultant in charge.
• Collaborating with other departments to Fast track the essential investigations.
• Journals and seminar presentations in the department.

Third year of residency:

• Working in Pediatric wards, PICU, NICU, OPD, on a rotatory basis.
• Case Presentations along with journal and seminar presentations.
• Independently handle cases like Septicemia, peri-natal asphyxia, recurrent hypoglycemia, hypothermia, pre-term low birth weight babies, shock, hyperbilirubinemia in neonates.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICES:

• Worked as a team in managing Meconium aspiration syndrome, refractory shock, refractory seizures, Inborn errors of metabolism, babies suffering from critical congenital heart diseases, hemorrhagic disease of newborn in NICU.
• Can perform following procedures independently- neonatal cannulation, umblical vein catheterisation, Surfactant administration, Neonatal intubation,Neonatal sedation, Neonatal CSF tapping, Exchange transfusion.
• Managed cases like AWD , Dysentery, Malaria, Enteric fever, pneumonia, acute hepatitis, chronic liver diseases, autoimmune hepatitis , diabetic ketoacidosis ( follow up & discharge), liver abscess, seizure disorders, neuro cysticercosis, portal hypertension, Pulmonary tuberculosis, abdominal tuberculosis, hepatic encephalopathy, rickets, severe acute malnutrition, septicemia, septic arthritis, TB meningitis (discharge & follow up) , nephrotic syndrome (Minimal change NS , secondary nephrotic syndrome) in pediaric wards & ICU's.

• Worked as intern in department of General medicine, general surgery, obstetrics& gynecology, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology, social & preventive medicine, pediatrics, accident & emergency , radiology, respiratory medicine.
• Did the following procedures independently - Intravenous Cannulation, Foleys catheterization, Surgical dressing, and some minor surgical procedures like Subcutaneous dermoid cyst extraction, suturing episiotomy cut, ascitic tap.
• Assisted in normal vaginal delivery, Cesarean section, Crushed injuries of limbs, Fournier gangrene removal, General surgical procedures like Hernia, hydrocele, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, abscess drainage in PLHIV, Skin grafting for ulcers and management of diabetic foot, amputation of limb.
