ISF - INDIAN ORIGIN AND OTHER ORIGIN / INSURANCE / POA AND BOND FILING

Handling all origin shipments to the U.S. and Canada for customs clearance, and filing ISF and E-Manifest.

Coordinating with the team members and helping them with all types of doubts to complete their work on time.

Regularly checking the reports for the ISF and Insurance teams on a daily basis.

Monitored the arrival of shipments and ensured documents were in compliance with customs regulations.

Coordinated with overseas agents regarding documentation preparation and cargo tracking.

Developed and maintained relationships with suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure efficient freight forwarding services.

Contributed innovative ideas and solutions to enhance team performance and outcomes.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Clearing all the issues related to E-Manifest, coordinating with the origin office, and providing a complete resolution.

Coordinating with CBSA, CBP, TCCU Technical Department, port, and carrier to resolve the E-Manifest and AMS queries on time.

Approving all E-Manifest filings before sending them to the broker for clearance.

Troubleshooting all types of AMS and ISF issues that are held during clearance time.

POA AND BOND FILING

For all new customers, I will get the ISF and Customs POA to file the ISF on time and ensure customs clearance.

I will cross-verify all the details mentioned in the POA before sending it to our customs broker to add to their system.

If the customer has doubts or needs clarification, I will directly coordinate with the customer to get the POA on time.

Once the POA is added to the customs broker’s system, I will check with them if the customer has a continuous bond.

If the customer doesn’t have a continuous bond, I will inform the customer and explain the benefits of the annual bond.

POA and bond filing will be done based on the customer’s commodity to ensure we are providing our best customs broker to clear their shipments without any confusion or delay.

If the customer is bringing in any ADD/CVD commodity that is subject to antidumping duties, we will inform the customer about the Antidumping Bond process.

For all antidumping bonds, a smooth process will be maintained with the customs broker and directly with the customers.

The payment mode for the collateral amount of $50,000 will be checked with the customer in the initial stage to determine whether they can make a cash deposit or use a Letter of Credit. Based on the customer's confirmation, we will start the process, which will save more time and ensure it is completed well ahead of the shipment's arrival.

I will coordinate with the salesperson regularly if they need any information on the bond status.

For our existing customers, where we have filed the annual bond for them, I will check with them well ahead of time for the bond renewal.

If the customer says okay for the bond renewal, I will prepare the invoice and send it to the customer. After receiving the payment, the bond will be renewed.

For all bond-related issues, we will directly coordinate with the customer and salesperson, and provide complete information and resolution.

For non-U.S.-based customers, the CBP assigned number will be taken care of from my end.
