Aug 1987 – Commissioned into the Indian Navy.

1989–1991 – Qualified submarines earned the Dolphin badge and Dive Ticket.

1991-1995 – Operated and maintained Foxtrot-class submarines at INS Virbahu, INS Vela at ENC, Vizag, and INS Vagsheer and INS Vagir in WNC, Mumbai.

1995-2001 – Operated and maintained EKM/Kilo class submarines INS Sindhuvijay, INS Sindhukirti, INS Sindhudhvaj, and commissioned INS Sindhushastra at St. Petersburg as EO.

2001-2002 – Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.

2002-2006 – Directorate of Marine Engineering.

Overseeing the INS Virbahu and INS Vajrabahu squadrons for the operational and maintenance requirements of submarines.

- Liaisoning with the Directorate of Submarine Operations (DSMO), the Directorate of Submarine Acquisitions (DSMAQ), the Directorate of Fleet Maintenance (DFM), the Directorate of Naval Architecture (DNA), and the Directorate of Ship Production (DPS).

- Liaisoning with Integrated Headquarters (Ministry of Defence) for submarine projects.

- Selection of equipment and systems for new submarines.

- Scrutinize additions and alterations of submarine systems.

- Scrutinize Upgradation and modification proposals of submarines.

- Coordinate with INS Shivaji for training and skill development.

- Coordinate with DMDE for the requirement of spare submarines being built at SBC.

2007-2008 – Commander (E) INS Ranvijay (Destroyer), front-line ship of the Eastern Fleet.

2008-February 2010 – CSO (Tech) at SMHQ.

- The class authority of all submarines.

- Conduct Operational Readiness Inspection, squadron workup, and check dives of submarines of the Eastern and Western Naval Commands.

- Ensure and maintain an adequate force level of submarines at all times.

- Ensure timelines and technicalities of major refits of submarines in coordination with ASDs and SOTS for refits overseas.

- Evolve Submarine ensures safe and smooth operations of submarines.

- Ensure adequate training and upgrading of skills of submarine personnel.

- Coordinate with INS Virbahu and INS Vajrabahu to ensure adherence to SOPs, and the efficient operations of submarines.

- Take up refurbishing, upgrading, and modification of submarines.
