  • Aging Reports: Review Aged receivables reports regularly (usually on a weekly or monthly basis). These reports categorize outstanding invoices based on how long they have been overdue (e.g., 30 days, 60 days, 90 days and above).
  • Prioritizing Follow-Up: By analyzing the aging reports, identify which accounts are most overdue and prioritize collection efforts based on the risk of non-payment.
  • Preparation of Financial Statement: Prepare Financial statement on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Preparation of Tax Audit Report: Preparation of Tax Audit Report.
  • Tax Planning and Filing: Managing the company’s tax planning, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and minimizing the tax burden through strategic planning.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinating with external auditors to ensure the company’s financial statements are audited accurately and in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Regular Filing of Returns: Ensure timely filing of GST returns, and other periodical returns. This helps maintain compliance and avoid late fees or penalties.
  • Input Tax Credit (ITC) Reconciliation: Ensure regular reconciliation of ITC claimed with the GSTR-2A/2B to ensure that the credits are valid and match the supplier's filings. This helps avoid discrepancies and potential disallowance of ITC.
  • GST Audit: Conduct regular internal audits to review GST compliance and identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement. This helps in maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Stay Updated with Regulatory Changes: Keep abreast of any changes in GST laws, rules, and regulations. This includes updates from the GST Council and notifications from the government.
  • Engage with Professionals: Consult with tax professionals or consultants to ensure compliance and address any complex issues or queries.
  • Cost control and Expense Management: Reviewing and analyzing the company’s expenses and identifying areas for cost savings or improved efficiency. Overseeing the preparation and management of expense reports and ensuring that costs stay within the approved budget.
  • Accounting for Write-Offs: Ensure that any damaged, obsolete, or unsellable inventory is properly written off or adjusted in the books. This includes making provisions for slow-moving inventory that might need to be written down in value.
  • Collaboration with Operations/Production Teams: Communicate with the operations or production teams to understand the status of job cards. If delays are identified, work with the team to understand the cause and drive timely closures.
  • Monitoring Work in Progress (WIP): Monitor work in progress (WIP) in accordance with the Job cards released and timely closure of job cards.
  • Timely payment to MSME vendors: Ensure timely payment to MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) vendors as per the governing laws.
  • Monitor Selling Prices: Monitoring of selling price after a rate increase in raw materials and work closely with the sales team to ensure that they can effectively communicate about price related changes to customers.
