Major areas of responsibility for Oracle DB:

• Handling installation & configuration of oracle 9i, 10g, 11g,12c and 19c on Sun Solaris, Red hat Enterprise Linux & AIX and creating database using DBCA and manually as per the business requirements.
• Install and configure oracle RAC databases.
• Build physical and logical standby databases. Trouble shoot standby databases whenever not sync with primary.
• Build replication object and schema level using Golden Gate.
• Managing database daily activities using incidents and app team requests.
• Managing daily database activities like RMAN backup and recovery strategies through physical and logical backups.
• Database migrations using RMAN, Hot and cold backups.
• Creating users, assigning privileges, reorganizing/analyzing tables/indexes with physical standby/ cloning & making it available in case of primary database failure & for reporting, off-loading queries.
• Accountable for implementing BCV environment for critical databases.
• Responsible for database switchover from primary to standby mode and vice versa; implementing backup strategy (hot) for production & other database, restoring full DB/schema/object level backups.
• Handling export/import of schemas & activities like creating tables, indexes, granting privileges etc.
• Deftly managing up gradation of Oracle database 9i,10g,11g, 12c and 19c.
• Database migration for cross platform using data pump ,XTTS and transportable table space.
• Database migrations from on premises to Cloud environments like oracle, Azure , AWS and Google.
• Responsible for grid agent installation on each node & on-boarded databases on grid for monitoring, applying DBMS patches (interim & CPU), Schema level activities (Addition, Deletion, Refresh) & installation & maintenance of RAC database.
• Monitoring database utilization by checking high resource queries in database; generated AWR & ASH reports.
• Looking after implementing monitoring scripts as well as coordination for application deployments.
• Monitoring database activities, capacity planning for table space availability & alert log file for errors.
• Documenting DBA activities for standardization & also for future reference.
• Preparing & publishing DB Weekly & Monthly Reports, to keep IT Team updated about the DB activity
• Monitored & identified the process wherein there was a fault & conducted basic performance check while adhering to nearly 100% ITSM standards for all change processes.

• Install Postgres In Linux Using Rpm.
• Upgrade Postgres To New Version.
• Clone A Postgres Database To Remote Server.
• Enable And Disable Archive Mode In Postgres.
• Setup Streaming Replication In Postgres.
• EDB Failover Manager (EFM) For Managing Streaming Replication.
• Create Tablespace In Postgres With Streaming Replication.
• Do Failover In Postgres manually.
• Do Switchover In Postgres
• Open Postgres Standby Database For Read Write(Snapshot Standby).
• Replicate Tables In Postgres Using EDB Replication Server.
• DATABASE MANAGEMENT like create database, connect to postgres db, Drop database, enable archiving(Wal),kill and cancel sessions, Find blocking session details.
• MAINTENANCE like update stats of tables, Reorg a table using VACUUM and VACUUM ALL, Rebuild indexes using REINDEX.
• OBJECT MANAGEMENT Create/drop table, Find schema details, Find Size of the schemas.
• USER MANAGEMENT find out list of users and roles present in database, Create, alter and drop users, Grant and revoke privileges.
• TABLESPACE MANAGEMENT check tablespace information, create/drop/rename tablespace, find/change default tablespace, Move table/index to different tablespace
• BACKUP & RECOVERY export table data to file using COPY.
• AUDITING & SECURITY Find pg_hba.conf file content, Enable auditing for ddl/dml statement, Enable audit for log on/log off to postgres.
• NETWORK Find foreign server details ,Find list of foreign tables, Create database link between postgres dbs.
• REPLICATION Check streaming recovery status ,Check replication details on primary server, Get received /replayed WAL records on standby(replication).
• Stop /resume recovery in standby(replication),Find lag in streaming replication, Manage replication slots.
