Realtime Payment Simulation System

( tech stack : Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, JWT)

I built a backend system that works like a UPI payment platform It lets users log in, check their wallet balance, send money to others, and view past transactions. I used JWT to secure the APIs and wrapped all money transfers in SQL transactions to make sure they’re safe and consistent. It also handles cases like low balance and multiple requests happening at once.

Smart Video Analytics using Edge Computing

(tech stack: Python, OpenCV, TensorFlow, OMNeT++) This project detects motion and objects from a live camera feed. I ran most of the processing on edge devices to reduce cloud usage and response time. For object detection, I used a CNN model and tested how it performs in real-time using OMNeT++ to simulate network delays and performance.

Object Detection Billing System for Retail

(tech stack: Python, Flask, YOLOv5, SQLite) Instead of scanning barcodes, this system uses a camera to detect items and calculate the bill. I used YOLOv5 to detect products in real-time and Flask to build a basic interface that shows detected items and their prices, then displays the total bill.

Movie Ticket Booking System

(tech stack: Node.js, Express, MongoDB, JavaScript) I created a complete ticket booking website where users can sign up, browse movies, choose seats, and book them. Admins can manage movies and see all bookings. I handled login sessions, roles (user/admin), and made sure seat selection updates in real time.

Heart Rate Monitoring System (IoT)

(tech stack: 8051 Microcontroller, C, UART) I built a system using a heart rate sensor connected to an 8051 microcontroller. It reads the pulse in real time and shows it on an LCD. I also used UART to send the data to a PC, where it can be logged or analyzed.

Was a part of NSS for over a year, where I actively took part in social service activities like community welfare, education support, cleanliness drives, and environmental awareness programs. It was a great experience where I learned the value of giving back and working with people from different backgrounds

I'm Charan Reddy from Hyderabad, currently pursuing my B.Tech in Computer Science at VIT Chennai. I come from a software background — my father is in the tech field — which naturally drew me toward engineering. I’m not overly talkative, but I’m highly focused when it comes to work. I stay calm and composed under pressure, and I believe in being kind, respectful, and patient with people around me.
