Flowmeters assessment project at Dukhan Qatar Petroleum Oil fields:

• Responsible for managing safety and PTW procedures as well as collecting data from various flowmeters, including Orifice plate, Turbine meter, Ultrasonic meter, Coriolis meter, Vortex flowmeter, Venturi meter & Magnetic flowmeter in order to calculate the uncertainty for Oil, Water & Gas Allocation, Custody / Royalty Transfer, Flare gas & well test.

TURBINE METER:

• Application: 2 Inch & 3 Inch size Turbine meter used to inject the produced water to the Oil wells. Searching of each well through maps provided by QP and visit to collect the details.
• Job Responsibility: Communicate with Cameroon Scanner M2000 MC-II & MC-III, Nuflo MC-III with software MC-II & MC-III and collect calculation data, Upstream & Downstream Pipe measurement, PT, TT reading etc., as per API MPMS Ch. 18.2. Preparation of reports of each flowmeter.

ORIFICE METER:

• Application: 3 Inch to 24 Inch Daniel / Emerson make, PIKO FMC make Orifice plates (Simplex & Senior) used in various applications like

- Measure the Gas flow from wells to Production stations.

- Crude oil calculation from wells to the production station.

- Injection of Gas & Water into the wells.

- Gas lift manifolds.

• Job Responsibility: Removal of Orifice plates, check the Roughness by using Roughness tester , Flatness by using straight gauge , Bevel Angle , Orifice Thickness , Orifice Bore diameter , Orifice bore thickness by Vernier calipers , record information’s like Upstream & Downstream measurements , PT , TT & DPT readings , ranges, Tapping of Transmitters & Thermowell / RTD etc as per ISO-5167, AGA-3 , API-MPMS Ch 14.3.2.

ULTRASONIC FLOWMETER:

Application: 26 Inch to 42 Inch Instromet & Fluenta make Ultrasonic Flowmeter used to calculate the Flare gas.

Job Responsibility:

• Fluenta: 130 & 160 series flowmeter communication established with Softflow software, calculate Speed of Sound, measurement of Upstream & Downstream spool piece, PT, TT Readings, Ranges etc as per QPMG.
• Instromet & GE Sensing 868 series flowmeter communication established with Softflow software, calculate Speed of Sound, measurement of Upstream & Downstream spool piece, PT, TT Readings, Ranges etc as per QPMG.

• Pre-commissioning & commissioning of Gas Metering Skids includes Flow meters, Pressure Transmitters, Temperature Transmitters, RTD, Pressure Gauges, Temp
