• Responsible for supplier management including qualifying new suppliers (FMD, HLA, SPEC, OTS, Service), improving marginal supplier performance conducting root cause analysis for non-compliant suppliers author Supplier Quality Agreements and oversee process of Supplier Scorecard ratings.

• Early engagement in new product development, Supplier & manufacturing Transfers – Lead as Supplier management program lead to conduct Part risk mapping, Design requirement review, and supplier part manufacturing capability assessment, new supplier qualifications for NPI, Process reviews & Part quality plan approvals.

• Maintain purchasing control audit readiness with zero gaps on supplier selection & qualification process, PQP, SCARs, SCR’s, SCN’s, ISO certification monitoring, on time audit completion, CQ/QR management, ASL health and trainings.

• Supplier monitoring and continual improvements through Q score Monitoring, Supplier process audits, continual assessment audits & PQP audits

• Responsible for identifying and developing Indian suppliers, optimizing the ratio of local material supply, acting as an interface to commodity managers, building up strategic supplier base, and benchmarking best practices in castings.

• Responsible for developing new projects for major automakers, working closely with various suppliers, conducting APQP process, conducting audits and readiness reviews, analyzing failures and implementing corrective actions, improving fixtures and processes at suppliers, and working on localization and cost reduction projects.

• Responsible for reviewing and approving PPAP and Run@Rate submissions of suppliers, interacting with GM North American suppliers, and interacting with various plants and suppliers for engineering changes.

• Responsible for material handling, supervising and coordinating activities of workers, and ensuring safety and benchmark operating practices.
