Project: Duqm Integrated Power & Water Plant.

Project Scope: Scope of work comprises Engineering, procurement, construction, erection, installation, Pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, testing and completion of Power and Water Plants. Water plant scope covers, Desalination area, seawater Intake and outfall area, includes onshore and marine works (Dredging works, Breakwater, Intake, and outfall Pipe installations)

Responsibilities:

Engineering Phase: At Larson & Toubro & Sargent Lundy, Vadodara, India

• Review of detailed design calculations, drawings, material specifications, design criteria documents, procurement packages & construction packages etc.
• Provide civil and structural engineering expertise in support design, construction, commissioning, start-up, and operation of water plant area.
• Provide engineering surveillance support to project Design team, applying company and industry standards & codes.
• Provide engineering skills related to, design of civil works (e.g. concrete works, structural works, architectural works,) and structures and foundations (e.g., machinery / equipment support structures, pipe racks, buildings, stacks, and blast resistant buildings).
• Interpret soil reports and apply soil mechanics principles for design (e.g., foundations, piling, earthworks, drainage, and undergrounds).
• Quantify when data is insufficient and identify necessary surveys for relevant input.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, project & site for Civil inputs, schedules & related issues
• Prepare / check of Calculations, General Arrangement & Detail Drawings and BOM
• Attend inter-discipline meetings, internal model reviews & model review with Client
  Monitor and meet project schedules on submissions of Civil deliverables
• Ensure all deliverables are comply with quality as per Client specifications & standards and Issue high quality AFC deliverable on schedule for Construction
• Review of vendor drawings / other discipline drawings for adequacy of Civil design input requirements
• Responsible to ensure that design is aligned with constructability such as construction methods, technology & translation of engineering design, standards, drawings, & specifications into constructed facility.
• Assist line Manager as required in management of an overall Construction program

Construction Phase: DIPWP Project Site, Sultanate Of Oman

• Manage all civil/structural construction and installation requirements of a water plant area, including work preparation, identifying main risks, and proposing early mitigation.
• Prepare project execution sequence and logic (Work Breakdown Schedules)
• Coordinate activities and resolve issues with contractors and other parties to allow construction activities to progress for early water (Civil/Structural completion) and final water (mechanical completion) milestones.
• Supervise site construction/installation of work of relevant engineering disciplines of assigned Construction/EPIC contracts and ensure that work carried out in safe manner and in compliance with Scope of Work, approved Engineering Standards and Specifications.
• Participate in constructability reviews as and when required.
• Review contractors' construction plans and schedules including method statements and JSAs.
• Coordinate and control mobilization of contractors to sites including site lay down areas.
• Facilitate issuance of necessary permits and Gate passes when requested by Contractors.
• Ensure and follow up completion and clearance of all Punch List items.
• Review and endorse red marked up and “as built” drawings.
• Participate in hand-over and acceptance, review commissioning procedures and participate in commissioning of facilities.
• Analyzed survey reports, maps, blueprints and other topographical and geologic data to effectively plan infrastructure and construction projects.

Project: PWHT Civil Remedial Works, Halul Offshore, State of Qatar

Project Scope: Work Comprises of Engineering, Procurement, Construction of Produced water handling facility civil remedial works including hydrocarbon separation tanks, hydrocarbon pumps, produced water pumps, their associated piping systems and MSE Retaining wall (Area-4), culvert (Area-5), Tank farm area pipe supports/pedestals (Area-1) MOL (Area-10). Scope includes systematic demolition and replacement of pedestals. Repair of MSE retaining wall, repairs of bund wall, slopes, and slope protection and Permanent repair of box culvert.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that EPC contractors comply with all aspects of Worksite HSE Plan and policy; site regulations, permit to work, Oxy and Customer (QP) requirements
• Ensue that EPC contractors adhere to latest approved for construction (AFC) project drawings, specifications, procedures, and site instructions
• Ensure by leadership and guidance that contracted works meets all practical, commercial, requirements of productivity, quality, and contract target completions.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of EPC contractors. Maintain daily supervisory surveillance checks and records ensuring that contractors management and supervision are providing safe working conditions and permitting procedures, all required competent personnel, protective equipment, adequate supervision and manpower, with reliable, well maintained equipment to execute contracted works as per contract schedule and targets
• Routinely study, check and review EPC contractors' scope as detailed in drawings, specifications, and instructions, ensuring contractors proper interpretation and compliance with lasted AFC drawings and specifications.
• Ensure proper change control by issuing Field Instructions for all changes, reviewing Site Queries to ensure responses are appropriate and practical and reviewing Advanced Revision notices prior to issue to EPC contractors to ensure correct use of construction resources
• Ensure contractors dimensional control methods for checking that works are properly set out and supervise specialist-surveying contractors where necessary.
• Ensure Quality inspectors and contractor supervisors carry out witness, inspection, and surveillance checks in accordance with Quality Plan
• Ensure that EPC contractors are working in required work areas, locations and elevations and that work sequence and interfaces with other contractors are both coordinated and planned to provide continuous working to meet contract schedules.
• Review EPC contractor's logistical plan for all construction materials are available timely and are stored, protected as per project requirements.
• Attend EPC Contractor Planning and progress meetings.

Project: FGP, CaTRo Project

Project Scope: Work Comprises of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning of CaTRo-Cargo Transportation Route Facilities in Northeastern Part of Caspian Sea. Scope of package includes Near Shore Excavation works (NSE) and Main Civil and Underground works (MCU) Includes Jetty construction with Cargo Storage Facility (CSF), COF, Channel (5.05-63Km) Turning Basin (63-65.5Km), Causeway, Water treatment Facility (WTF), Accommodation Camp, Improved Road (80-102Km), Tengiz Access Road (102-107Km), Domestic Water Plant (DWP) & Temporary roads to COF and CSF and Accommodation & Laydown area's

Responsibilities:

• Thorough knowledge of recognized GOST, RoK and TCO standards & fully conversant with RIMS program.
• Check for Engineering Deliverables from PSNK and KAZSTROY (Engineering Consultants)
• Development and construction of camp infrastructure for pioneer camp construction.
• Review and endorse Construction Dossier for assigned projects
• Support to Consolidate Construction Sequence, Choice of Backfilling Materials, Backfill Technical Specifications and Excavation Sequence.
• Ensures that all assigned civil engineering activities are carried out within agreed man-hour budgets, cost budgets and time schedules
• Reviews and approves project schedules to see that all dates, rate of progress are realistic
• Supervise site construction/installation of work of assigned Construction contracts and ensure that work carried out in safe manner and in compliance with Scope of Work, approved Engineering Standards and Specifications.

Project: Replacement of Main Diesel Generators at Arzanah Powerhouse

Project Scope: Work Comprises of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning for Replacement of Main Diesel Generators at Arzanah Powerhouse Project is concerned with carry out all Engineering, Procurement, Construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning for following:

• Refurbishment of power plant and construction of supplemental power plant
• Refurbishment works of runway, helideck and underground utilities.
• Addition of three new Diesel Generator sets, at 3.5 MW each, plus balance of plant, to replace existing DGs and Phase out RGTs to meet requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor construction team for implementation of Scope of Works (Civil / Structural works for new build power plant building (PPB), runway, helideck, roads, and underground utilities etc.
• Supervise and monitor Construction Contractor’s work on-site progress and identification of potential problems and delays and suggest remedial action.
• Supervise and monitor Construction team for civil/structural construction activities as per approved Work Program/Schedule. Recommend and control corrective measures on potential delays.
• Supervise and monitor vendors/subcontractors for potential claims and variation orders. If necessary, evaluate and provide recommendations on claims by sub-contractor.
• Assist Project Manager in resolution of any disputes and arbitration.
• Attend site meetings safety, quality, schedule, site activities, etc. and assist Project Manager in resolving stakeholders concerns and site issues.

Project: Borouge-2 Shutdown

Project Scope: Work Comprises of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning of Sea Water Basin with 72” Bypass line tie in. ADNOC Engineering Standards, Procedures and International standards are used for Project quality compliance

Responsibilities:

• As a QA/QC Civil Supervisor responsible for Supervise Contractors team of Contractors inspectors, Supervisors, Material Coordinators, Technicians
• Set and maintain a high standard for engineering and document control by ensuring compliance with PQP and QMS, Borouge Health, Environment, Process Risk and Safety (HES) guidelines, and Industry standards and recommended practices.
• Day to day monitoring of on‐going day- day civil activities for Seawater Basin construction.
• Carry out surveillance site inspections for civil construction works of SWB and adequately documented.
• Regular site visits for foreseeing potential deficiencies based on physical experience to share with construction crew and guidance to Supervisors and Technicians.
• Coordinating with other disciplines for release note for cathodic protection, mechanical and other clearances prior civil placement.
• Initiating internal Logbook Entries for effective implementation of QC Program.
• Supervising Civil construction and commissioning being performed accordingly to execution plan

Project1: King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Centre

Project Scope: Work Comprises of Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Residential Complex and Community Center. Project2: Residential and Industrial Complex, NGL Shaybah

Project Scope: Work Comprises of Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Residential and Industrial Complex. Saudi Aramco Standards (SASO) Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES) Saudi Aramco Engineering Procedures (SAEP) American Standards (ASTM) and ACI used for compliance of Project Quality Plan. Scope of project covers.

Responsibilities:

• Ensured all civil construction activities compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards SATIP, SAMSS, SAEP, and UBC, ACI ASTM, AASHTO and ISO 9001-2008 QMS.
• Responsible for day to day civil construction activities in compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards SATIP, SAMSS, SAEP and international standards like UBC, ACI ASTM, AASHTO and ISO 9001-2008 QMS.
• Make sure that any activity offered for inspection has approved shop drawing, Method Statement (MS), quality control procedure (QCP) and inspection and test plan (ITP), and that latest version of applicable document is available at point of use.
• Initiates Logbook Entries, such as pro-active notification, violation after fact, and violation prevented installation, to notify Project management team and construction team specific standards and specifications violated.
• Identifies non-conformances & agree corrective actions with construction team & client.
• Produce and input daily log of inspected fieldwork.
• Quality control of abrasion, dampness and wear impacts on civil structures.
• Application and quality control of shoring methods and procedures for project areas.

Project: Common Cooling Water Phase-II Cat-2

Project Scope: Work Comprises of Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Construction of Common Cooling Water System for Industries situated in Ras Laffan Industrial City. Qatar Construction Specifications/Standards, British Standards, and American ASTM Standards to be used for compliance of Project Quality Plan Scope of project covers.

o Related auxiliary and ancillary facilities and buildings and Its Infrastructure

o Distributed and collection pipelines & piping systems (Corridor A, B, C, E, L and K) & its infrastructure

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with construction team member for submittal of documents such as Request for Inspections (RFI), Request for Materials (RMI), Testing and Site Inspections
• Handling all civil Inspection works in substation, Transformer, Pump, Reservoirs foundation,
• Distributed and collection pipelines & piping systems Pipe Foundations and Concrete Anchor blocks
• 220 KV SWITCHGEAR Building, 33KV SWITCHGEAR Building, Electro chlorination plant, Etc. For Earthworks, reinforcement, form works, Civil, Water proofing, Road works, Duct bank, Manholes, U/G Utilities.
• Daily reporting of civil construction activity to immediate supervisor
• Preparation of daily reports of all site QC activities performed, reporting and documenting.
• Liaises with supplier/subcontractor construction in quality related issues.
• Liaises with client on all matters relating to quality control
• Underground utilities- inspection and reporting on underground storm, water, sewer works.
• Raising no compliance reports where applicable and follows up on close out.

Project: Saih Rawl Depletion Compression Project.

Project Scope: Work comprises Engineering, Procurement, Construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning of Saih Rawl Gas Compression Expansion Plant, New Power Plant, and 70 km 132kV overhead lines PDO specifications and EUROCODE2 implemented in Power Plant and Compression Plant and overhead lines in accordance with British Standards.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing Civil mix design of various grades, scrutiny of trial mixes, monitoring strength of Civil for strength and standard deviation
• Review of third-party civil laboratory reports and endorsement of certification.
• Grounding of Quality Documents; ITP’s, QCP’s prior to start of civil activities & getting endorsed by Client for qualification; ITP’s comprises delineate Inspection events to perform at site; QCP’s comprises of working procedures (RFI’S, BATCHING PLANT OPERATION AND CIVIL LABORATORY PROCEDURE)
• Following Client’s NCR procedure for corrective and disposition action NCR & FIR log for tracking procedures and defects.
• Prior to commencement of next stage, coordinate with other department QC/QA personnel and ensure that every aspects of inspection are completed.
• Coordinate quality control inspection works of worksite to meet requirements of ISO and QS standard Responsible for Vendor Inspection, Testing, Reviewing of Material and Test Certificates, Vendor Assessment and Audits.
