As a Senior Instructor at School of Artillery, Devlali (2019-2021) ensured the administration, training and outdoor firing of courses to include management of instructors. Handled training of 300 plus officers in a training cycle with fast paced and time constrained courses. In addition, as a Project Manager, carried out ammunition expenditure analysis for the each training year for more then 08 courses every year involving daily live firings. The concrete methodical planning led to savings of almost 10 lakh per year on scrap management and losses.
As a Commanding Officer of a Medium Regiment at Bathinda (2016-2019) was responsible for numerous projects in the domains of administration security, HR, logistics and supply chain. Most of these projects were seen from the inception stage to the final end stage. This involved meticulous and well planned interactions with the stakeholders and final users. Some of the projects were Arboriculture and landscaping of new auditorium amounting to Rs 40 lakhs, Beautification and security infrastructure of RWA amounting to Rs 25 lakhs, Security and access control system of an ammunition dump amounting to Rs 15 Lakhs, Infrastructure development for a new unit with 800 troops and 250 vehicles amounting to 2.5 crore, and many others. All these involved timely monitoring, systematic updates and mid course correction to prevent losses to the exchequer keeping quality control parameters in check.
As a Director for Logistics Supply Chain and Administration at Reasi, J&K (2014-2016) functioned as a as business support manager ensuring smooth & effective logistics support sustenance of men and material at isolated locations within acceptable TAT under adverse weather conditions. This involved responsibility for logistics, supply chain, inventory and material management for 1000 men, amounting to approximately Rs.150 Crores per year.
Through analytical and problem solving skills was able to analyze complex situations, identify problems, and develop effective solutions that led to an establishment of an effective mechanism and SOP that stood fast in times of floods which entailed smooth management of all resources and transshipment of more than 4000 tons of loads.
As Procurement Manager, with the advent of e-procurement and other government initiatives, ensured smooth and timely transition of clerical staff through proper training. In addition, promulgated laid down procedures for adherence and coordinated the same with all vendors to meet the new policy demands. Organised the “Know Your Army” event twice for Bathinda district with a footfall of 8000 plus over a period of three days.
Organised a team of 60 individuals and trained them in a day to participate in and audio visual program highlighting the life of a soldier.
Lead the team of four individuals to Siachen Glacier and back incident free for a duration of 6 months.
