  • Responsible for managing all tactical and non-tactical radios for J6 and Joint Forces Headquarters
  • This includes HF radios and the Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) net, Disaster incident response emergency communications Team (DIRECT), or Joint Incident Response Site Communications Capability (JISCC) equipment or any relevant system

  • Assists the DSCA Communications Planner with maintaining emergency communications cached equipment
  • Lead maintainer for National Guard owned communications base and COTS repeater systems

  • Ensures compliance with Department of Instruction (DODI4650.10) as well as compatibility with NORTHCOM and NGB programs
  • Coordinates with installation directorates and tenant organizations to ensure that radio dependent equipment (e.g., mass notification alert systems, handheld radios, and paging systems) being developed or procured for use on the installation are fully supportable and interoperable

  • KSA: I have been exposed to working with information security since2019 giving me over200 months+ of experience in these following areas:
  • Running a Service Desk in charge of majority of the Middle East region for9 months (40 weeks)
  • Working as a System Administrator for the Indiana Guard and in the Balkan region for the past3 years (100+ months)
  • Setting security parameters for different users based on the need and the full or limited access they required

  • KSA: I have been exposed to electronics and electronic components at CSMS #1 ever since July2018, and all through my time with my current unit, giving me just over18 months of experience in the following areas:
  • Basic electronics training and troubleshooting
  • Working with multi-meters, AC/DC currents, oscilloscopes, soldering, and proper electrical safety procedures
  • Testing and troubleshooting radios and properly repairing faulty parts
  • Testing and troubleshooting night vision google units and properly repairing faulty parts
  • Installing all required wiring for radio and computer communication units into ARMY trucks and other equipment

  • I perform field and limited sustainment maintenance to include installation, routine maintenance, repair, and overhaul of fixed and mobile operational communication and electronics systems, e.g., shelter mounted AM radio and teletype systems, shelter mounted single side band radio and teletype systems, shelter mounted radio relay and terminal systems, other moderately complex systems, peripheral equipment, and related test equipment, and Modification Table of Equipment (MTOE) authorized automation equipment
  • Repair, align, and adjust infrared night vision sights, optical sights, and traversing units
  • Removes and replaces defective electrical, electronic, and mechanical components
  • Conducts inspection, diagnoses nature and extent of equipment malfunction
  • Determines whether equipment may be economically repaired or declared unserviceable
  • Perform required maintenance to restore a serviceable condition with various types of tactical components, radio sets, and simulators
  • I use various types of test equipment to include systems test sets and stand alone test sets such as AN/MPM-125, frequency meters, standing wave indicators, oscillators, ohmmeters, voltmeters, resistance bridges, and signal generators to localize trouble by component unit, by circuit within a component, and by element of a circuit

  • Well on duty not only did I have to make sure the food was cooked probably but, in an efficient amount of time
