• 32 years of experience in building and managing businesses including P&L Management, business strategy, product/service development, GTM plans, business development/pre-sales, engineering, operations and services delivery/assurance -20+ years of experience in leadership roles.
• Business Unit head for Cloud, Hosting, Security, International Colocation and Software Defined WAN (SDWAN) businesses for Tata Communications that has grown 5x over the past six years.
• As the CDIO (Chief Digital and Information Officer) at Tata Communications have set the company on the transformation path by creating a digital platform for Lead to Cash (L2C) processes. 85% of the companies orders flow through the digital system, 70% of them with zero touch. Responsible for the information security and IT functions. Actively managed IT and Infosec budgets by bringing in Opensource frameworks and building skills internally.
• Managed a team of 2000+ people (Business Management, Product development/management, Technology operations, engineering, software development & professional services), experienced in managing globally distributed multi-cultural teams. Have built teams from scratch for various functions beginning from strategy, execution, business development to lifecycle management at Tata Communications.
• Business management expertise - Created an overlay services business focusing on Cloud, Cybersecurity and SDWAN in a telecom company and grew them from insignificant revenues to 300M USD by building a highly relevant and well-engineered portfolio of services, improving market perception with referenceable customers and over time becoming a well-recognized provider of digital infrastructure and managed services. Incubating new businesses like Edge Computing, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and network embedded secure devices (CPE like). Part of the start-up team at Sify for the RIMS (Remote Infrastructure Management Services) business. Experience of having created a start-up to seeing through a sale and subsequently handing over the company to the acquirer (at Sevenstrata).
• Conceptualization & Creation of platforms - Architected the AI infrastructure for Tata Communications using NVIDIA H100 chips for training and L40S for inference, the set-up will be available for production use from Oct 2024. Created Cloudlyte an edge computing platform based on Kubernetes for addressing use cases in Manufacturing, Retail and Distribution. Instrumental in creating several digital platforms (L2C digitisation, DDoS detection & mitigation systems, CTI/SOAR system, CDN platform & IZO private cloud command). As the CTO at Sevenstrata created a platform for scaling managed services called RAPID (early stage AIOps). Familiarity with Banking IT infrastructure (Networks, systems, call center and ATMs/Point of Sale networks) including VSAT/DAMA/PAMA connectivity.
• Mergers & Acquisitions - Have been at the forefront of M&A activity at Sevenstrata IT services as the co-founder and CTO, which later got acquired by Mindtree in 2010. Have integrated acquired companies (BitGravity) in to the existing business and continue to evaluate companies/start-ups for possible acquisitions.
• Board Positions- on the board of NetFoundry ( a virtual on-demand network start-up) since 2020 and on Novamesh the services arm of Tata Communications from Jan 2024. Founding Director for Sevenstrata IT Services from 2007-2010 ( a sequoia funded IT infrastructure services start-up)

• Added to the executive team at Tata Communications in Jan 2018 as EVP & CDIO reporting to the CEO of the company with additional responsibility for the company's IT/Security (CIO/CISO) and Service Delivery functions including creating the digital strategy and driving the digital transformation for the company.
• Promoted to a Senior Vice President in 2015 with the additional responsibility of turning around the loss making CDN business and growing the APAC market.
• Joined the company in June 2010 as VP product management for Co-location, Cloud and Hosting businesses (Product revenues of over 100M, colocation had the highest revenues of the three products)
