• Responsible for the excavation of coal and overburden (OB) as per the annual business plan, prepared and implemented half-yearly, quarterly, and monthly coal and OB plans.
• Led shift operations of a 92-member workforce and heavy machinery (Ex1200, Ex2500, PL1100, CAT RD 50T, and 100T), ensuring smooth and safe mining activities.
• Planned and executed drilling, blasting, coal seam extraction, and OB handling in compliance with SOPs, DGMS, and CMR 2017 guidelines.
• Collaborated with mechanical and electrical teams to maintain continuous, efficient operations, and prepare for seasonal challenges like monsoons.
• Promoted a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, field inspections, and contractor coaching, resulting in improved compliance and reduced incidents.

Process Improvement:

• Managed to reduce the ideal time of the shovel by 5% by virtue of dynamic shovel allocation and selection of an alternate loading face.
• Ensured a smooth staggering process (continuous operation during the canteen break) to utilize a loss of 45 minutes of the canteen break. Reduced fuel-specific consumption by 11% by installing battery-operated AC in rare dumpers while idling. Improvement of load per trip by 14.5%, and eventually increasing the productivity of the shovel. Impact on Business:
• Achieved 430,000 tons of coal recovery in the fiery zone in FY’25.
• Successfully developed the VII seam under the old field repair shop, recovering 1.57 MT of coal (FY23).
• Reduced annual fuel cost by 80 crore. Through efficient use of battery-operated AC in the rear dumper during idling time, and improved specific diesel consumption (horizontally deployed).

• Presently working as an Assistant Manager and performing the duties of shift Incharge in the production.
• Worked as Assistant Manager and performing the duties of Blasting Incharge in the absence of Blasting officer.
• Responsible for Mine Haul road maintenance, slope stability monitoring and related works.
• Responsible for proper maintenance of OB dumps as per design parameters laid down under Reg-108 of CMR-2017.
