Ad Operations responsibilities:

  • Final POC in the chain, for technical issues such as tech integration, revenue optimization, tech customization according to client needs, etc.
  • Be part of kick off calls for understanding the client's tech/ad stack and analyze any foreseeable issues during implementation. Clarify any complicated questions/concerns from their AdOps or Dev teams.
  • Main POC for any split test strategizing and taking ownership of the split test till completion.
  • Drive adoption of new feature rollouts, by Ad operations and identify any bugs/unintended behavior of the tech.
  • Keep Ad operations teams informed and updated on latest feature rollouts and current industry direction/changes.
  • Take ownership to identify a resolution for any major P1 incidents & revenue drops that need to be resolved asap.
  • Handle internal technical/AdOps consults from every team within the organization if assistance is requested.
  • Proactively analyzing current ad stack of onboarded publishers & identify possible optimizations and new revenue opportunities.
  • Understand needs of publishers/Ad operations teams & assess the feasibility & needs for building new features/tools.
  • Analyze major incidents and share deep dive analysis of the root cause and build/revise SOPs/train concerned teams, to ensure there are checks in place for any possible similar situations in future.

Developer responsibilities:

  • Prepare technical documents for dev teams on building new features or existing wrapper performance optimizations.
  • QA delivered dev stories for any possible bugs & ensure the code is giving the expected end result.
  • Identify client technical requirements and feature requests for feasibility and prioritize existing requests in the dev pipeline.
  • Adding new header bidding adapters to the wrapper and liaising with bidders dev teams for proper tech integration within prebid.
  • Drive weekly scrum calls to ensure the dev pipeline is efficiently planned out and is within the planned SLAs.
  • QA each and every functionality/feature within custom prebid wrapper and identify possible optimizations.
  • Ensure custom prebid wrapper is inline with the changes and is in compliance with changes in the Adops landscape.
  • Breakdown and dig into competitors' wrapper and configurations when running a split test.
  • Comb through diagnostic logs and identify any captured crit errors or exceptions & take ownership of resolving them.
  • Run multivariate tests between rolled out versions with different configurations/demand stack, to document the best performing combinations of demand partners/bidders/prebid configuration/params/etc and share with Ad operations teams.
  • Rollup all QA’d weekly code changes/additions and merge to the master version of prebid wrapper and take ownership of adoption of the same by Ad operations teams.
  • Analyze any new/required changes on newer prebid releases and keep a custom prebid wrapper on the latest possible version.
  • Work with internal data/ML teams to get actionable insights from custom analytics data and share suggestions, possible internal tests, configuration tweaks that will help ad operations teams to further optimize publishers revenue.
