Responsible for coordinating all consults, admission, transfers and post-op activities.

Designate new assignments to appropriate teams, overnight admission and add assigned teams in Cerner.

Coordinate and prioritizes optimal patient flow processed. Faciliate transfer of patients through out the organization. Expedites patient transfers from outside hospitals and clinics form home. Assist as needed with the transfer of patients to a higher or lower levels of care.

Serves as contact person for bed management for admission concerns

Ensure compliance with transfer processes

Collaborate and coordinate with all hospital nursing units, transportation, environmental services to ensure proper bed placement.

Demonstrate the ability to make accurate discretionary problem solving about patient transfer processed.

Escalate concerns while communicating with the appropriate Associate Administrators.

Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff by answering questions.

Respond to call lights and direct the inquiry to the appropriate party.

Activate alerts, monitor tube system where applicable and respond appropriately.

Communicate patient information to units and department in a timely manner.

Answer multi-line phone system by answering questions and routing callers to the appropriate individual.

Provide unit support by assisting with bed assignments and maintaining accurate patient locations in Cerner and Tele-tracking.

Assist in the onboarding and training of new employees to ensure all employees receive consistent and accurate information.

Transcribe physician orders as required.

Utilize basic knowledge of medical terminology to ensure orders in a timely manner.
