Project Overview: The project involves support for production and non-production databases of COP, which is in the oil and gas industry.

Project Responsibilities -

• User administration and security: Creating users and granting database access through nested roles in non-production and production environments.
• Backup and Recovery – Monitoring backup jobs and performing ad-hoc backups and restores through DSA.
• Performing viewpoint monitoring and addressing system alerts for high-resource-consuming sessions.
• Troubleshooting: User logon issues, user object access issues, spool space issues, and database space management issues.
• Creating databases in production and non-production environments.
• Verification and execution of BTEQ scripts in the production and non-production environments.
• Identifying performance issues and providing recommendations for them.

Project Overview: The project involves support for production and non-production databases of Teradata India Pvt.

Project Responsibilities -

• User administration and security: creating users and granting database access through nested roles in non-production and production environments.
• Backup and Recovery – Taking weekly production and non-production backups, and performing on-demand restores through TARA and DSA.
• Troubleshooting issues with respect to the data mover, performing ad hoc data movement using the data mover.
• Performing viewpoint monitoring and addressing system alerts for high-resource-consuming sessions.
• Troubleshooting: User logon issues, user object access issues, spool space issues, data mover job failure issues, and database space management issues.
• Creating databases in production and non-production environments.
• Performing MVC analysis and implementation on production tables using the MVC tool.
• Verification and execution of BTEQ scripts in the production and non-production environments.
• Identifying performance issues and providing recommendations for them.

Project Overview: The project involves technical, functional, and administrative support for more than 50 production and non-production IFS applications.

Project Responsibilities:

• Oracle 11g installation and database creation using a template through DBCA.
• Performing a database refresh from production to non-production environments using Data Pump (Expdp/Impdp).
• Performing a database clone using a cold backup of the source database.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting tablespace issues, connectivity issues, locking, and disk space issues on the database and database servers.
• Providing support to the development team using the Flashback feature of Oracle.
• Building an application from scratch using IFS Build Home and installing IFS tools such as IFS Developer Studio, IFS BA Execution Server, IFS Spreadsheet Manager, and IFS Documentation with search functionality.
• Performing deployments on the IFS application and WebLogic server, which involves the execution of scripts at the backend, installing delivery or reconfiguration of the application server, deployment on the WebLogic server, applying security sheets, and deploying role packs.
• Debugging issues with WebLogic, JBoss, and OHS servers, and if required, start, stop, or restart the servers.
• Basic administration tasks on Windows Server 2008 machines include user creation, disk space issues, file/folder sharing, network mapping, and installation of roles and services on the server.
• The project involves technical, functional, and administrative support for more than 50 production and non-production IFS applications.

Company Overview: Projects involve 24/7 support for Production, QA, Integration, Test, and standby databases.

Project Responsibilities -

• The project involves support for more than 300 databases.
• Installation of Oracle 11g on servers.
• Creation of Oracle databases, scheduling maintenance, and backup jobs in crontab.
• Configuring listener services and adding a database to a central LDAP repository.
• Managing tablespaces, creating users, roles, and profiles, granting and revoking privileges, and access for database objects as required.
• Creating and altering database objects such as tables, partitioned tables, views, materialized views, sequences, triggers, dblinks, and the deployment of procedures and packages.
• Rebuilding and reorganizing tables and indexes, analyzing tables and indexes for better performance, and monitoring the alert log file.
• Configuring the database for RMAN backups, and performing backup and recovery of the database using RMAN.

• Setting up of Oracle Streams between databases for replication, configuring shareplex for databases for replication
• Creating change tickets, incident tickets, work orders in BMC Remedy for database activities

• Coding for ARM7 controllers LPC 2378 in ‘C’ language using Keil compiler
• Coding and maintenance of RFID readers used to detect swipe in and swipe out for access control purposes in offices and defense laboratories
• Coding and maintenance of RFID tags on animals and interfacing reader with a weighing machine to log in weight for the animal owning the tag
• Interfacing a GPRS modem with tag reader for sending records such as attendance records in a school to a server
