The plant handles imported coal on behalf of Steel Authority of India Limited from Australia, U.S.A, Canada, New Zealand, and China etc. for its steel plants, using fully mechanized ship unloaders, conveyors, stacker reclaimers & wagon loaders. The plant capacity is to handle 3.2 million tons per annum.
