Project Name: Credit Card Analytics

Project Description: The theme of this project is to mainly understand the patterns of customer spending behaviour, categorization of the customers etc. This opens up the doors to impose more discounts and deals for attracting customers. This increases usage of credit cards by the customers and leads to addition of new customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Used Sqoop to efficiently transfer data from databases to HDFS
• Defined schema and created Hive tables in HDFS using Hive queries
• Created partitions, buckets in Hive to handle structured data
• Performed data processing such as aggregation, joins, filter, etc. as per business role
• Developed Spark code in Scala to process data
• Created Hbase layer to facilitate fast reporting
• Worked on regularly tuning performance of Hive and Spark queries to improve data processing and retrieving
• Optimized pipelines resulted in 5x less resources being used and 10x increase in processing speed

Project Description: Leveraging the capabilities of the TCS in house built ‘SmartQE’ tool which provides optimal solution for the quality engineering life cycle through contextual insights and actionable outcome.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Deploying application in various environments (test and production) using WildFly web server.
• Performed deployment in over 10+ customer environments.
• Scheduling Jenkins job through SmartQE tool code has been committed by developers which helped in automating 60 to 80% of manual task.
• Used InstallAnywhere tool to automate deployment process by building .exe files.
• Coordinating with teams to renew SSL certificate on client environments.
• Monitoring server’s health using tools like Grafana and Prometheus to track and alert respective stake holder's if server resource utilization goes beyond 70%.
