Deepa Joshi is an intense singer, she was introduced by Padma Shri Anup Jalota ji to the music world and music lovers through duet Ghazal “Zindagi Ke Saath” in the year 2021. This ghazal became very popular among music lovers and was also included in “Jukebox” – Anup Jalota Ghazals “Birthday Special” 2021. She has achieved respectable status in the field of commercial singing by delivering 06 Hindi & Kumauni languages songs at commercial level and thus become member of prestigious organization for Indian Singers & Musicians– ISMRA” Indian Singers & Musicians Rights Association’. She has a Degree in Indian classical music from Kamaaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand. In the initial phase, she got the good fortune of getting the training of; Light Indian Music & Classical in Lucknow under the patronage and guidance of the famous Guru Late Shri Vinod Chatterjee. She has sung Hindi and Kumsoni songs, some of which have been released by prestigious labels like T-Series and Red Ribbon Music. Deepa's musical journey began in childhood, and she honed her skills further by pursuing a graduation in music, & further under the guidance of Anoop Jalota in 2021. Her versatility is evident through her performances on DD programs and All India Radio since 2011. Currently, she is part of the contract panel as Program Presenter at All India Radio, New Delhi, contributing to programs focused on women's issues. She is also an experienced ‘Voice Over’ artist and worked for Doordarshan. She has special interest in Ghazal, Bhajan, Sugam Sangeet and Folk Music. Deepa Joshi sang songs in her native language ‘Kumaoni ‘ and her song- ;Chaar Tola Nathuli & Rangilo Muluk received loud praises. Deepa Joshi has been associated with folk/social programs for more than two decades. As Music & singing is passion for her and to promote music & culture mainly of the Hilss she has formed proprietary firm “Purple Music India” and is registered as MSME in UP State. She has conducted many Live Performances and most appreciated was her stage show “ Ek Surli Shaam Azadi K Naam’ on the occasion of Independence Day 2023 and culmination of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at CSOI, Chanakyapuri New Delhi . She has performed been performing live on stages since last two decades which includes programs in the front of high dignitaries and Govt Officials.
