Dr. Deepak completed his MBBS from JSS Medical College, Mysore, Karnataka, India. He was the University Topper in Final MBBS (1998) and was awarded seven Gold medals and three awards by the University of Mysore and the Pfizer medallion of Merit. He stood 46th in the All India MD/MS entrance examination and joined MD (General Medicine) at Sawai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur, Rajasthan, which is a 3000 bedded tertiary care center. He completed his MD and then joined Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Whitefield, Bangalore, which is a high volume Interventional Cardiology center, for his DNB Cardiology training during which he had extensive training in Non Invasive and Interventional Cardiology under the able guidance of Dr.P.K.Dash who is a renowned Cardiologist and teacher par excellence.

Dr. Deepak worked at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Bangalore as Consultant Cardiologist after his DNB training for nearly 2 years during which he independently performed more than 500 balloon mitral commissurotomies, 100 pacemaker implantations, 1000 Coronary Angioplasties, 2000 diagnostic angiograms and cath studies and several peripheral angioplasties and Congenital interventions. During the same tenure he attended to more than 1000 Cardiac emergencies and critical cases, performed more than 1000 trans esophageal echocardiograms and provided more than 3000 Cardiac consultations. After his tenure at Sri Sathya Sai hospital, he worked at several hospitals in Bangalore including Vydehi Hospital, Fortis Hospitals and Narayana Hrudayalaya, for few years, during which he has independently performed large number of Cardiac Interventions and treated several Cardiac emergencies.
