5G ML1 Engineer

I have been working in 5G ML1 for about four years now on MSIM aspects of 5G, covering a wide range of topics in DSDA/DSDS flows.

Recent areas of work (C):

  • 6Rx MSIM (software flow design/implementation, off-target/on-target validation)
  • NRDC MSIM (implementation, off-target/on-target validation).
  • DSDA flows implementation and verification.
  • CDRX opt flows to save power in MSIM.

Areas of daily work:

  • Scoping software changes required based on new requirements, covering multiple scenarios (including RACH/RRC config/Abort/Reconfig/Suspend/Page/BPLMN/ACQ/Meas/ASDIV.
  • Triaging stability and performance issues in MSIM, formulating solutions, and verifying fixes.
  • ML1 DL PoC for various modems, tracking daily change requests across the entire ML1 DL subsystem, and following up with INT and developers when facing any process-related issues.

  • I have been working on the following areas: CFCM, Coex Manager, VSTMR, SLPC, WWAN Coex, and SAR.
  • Key Projects: Software Engineer.
  • NR5G time conversions for scheduling multiple events, and time conversions for L1. Written assembly level programming for 128 bit multipliers and addition logic.
  • The NR5G and LTE coexistence feature mitigates the Tx power for several band combinations in SSIM (NSA) and MSIM (NR5G + LTE) modes of operation, along with new features based on this framework.
  • Came up with a design for accommodating the PMIC chip (76.8M) error during sleep, and sleep timing conversions.
  • SAFE-Sar fallback mechanism for Microsoft.
  • Multiple flow control updates for NR5G, LTE, and WLAN to monitor different temperature and bandwidth mitigations.
  • Converted static threads to a thread pool (dynamic allocation) for SLPC.
