Summary

With over21 years of programme planning and management experience across South and Southeast Asia, I have a strong understanding on structural issues related to cultural norms, a patriarchal mindset, and gender-blind policies that work as barriers to gender equality, bodily integrity and bodily autonomy of women. In my role as the South Asia Regional Programme Officer at DanChurchAid, in close collaboration with cross-cutting units, I successfully facilitated country teams,36 partners, and managed women empowerment programmes funded by the European Union, DANIDA, and DCA across India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, ensuring donor compliance and effective partnership management that raised programme budgets from $1.5 million to $10 million. As the Country Programme Manager at Cord, I maintained funding relations with the EU, the Belgian Embassy, and Provictims to strengthen the defence of human rights activists, including media persons in Cambodia. Additionally, as Team Leader at the Resource Centre for Social Action on livelihood and food security—supported by three international funding agencies—I supervised20 projects and100 staff across10 states in India to facilitate access to and control over livelihood resources for women, enhancing funding from $1 million to $3 million. My experience includes developing participatory and gender-sensitive long-term integrated action plans, conducting partner assessments, developing agreements, managing partnerships including consortium coordination, fundraising, and maintaining rigorous financial monitoring to achieve impactful outcomes. My expertise lies in facilitating stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and team collaboration to develop high-quality programme designs, context-specific needs assessments, detailed annual plans, consistent budgets, and periodic progress reports. I navigate change through strong partnership relations and accountability mechanisms by applying various monitoring and evaluation tools to achieve the objectives of the programme aligned with national and global strategies. I am a vision-driven and results-oriented professional with a passion for facilitating gender equality and protection from violence through empowerment, quality education, and policy reform to ensure that women and young people have full control over their sexual and reproductive health. I am analytical and compassionate in my approach to inspire and influence.
