The Kellogg Company (also Kellogg's, Kellogg, and Kellogg's of Battle Creek) is an American multinational food manufacturing company headquartered in Battle Creek, Michigan, United States. Kellogg's produces cereal and convenience foods, including cookies, crackers, toaster pastries, cereal bars, fruit-flavored snacks, frozen waffles, and vegetarian foods. Kellogg uses Red Prairie Dlx systems for warehouse management for the US, Canada and Latin America regions. It has a total of 39 warehouses located throughout the region with 31 of them using Dlx 5.5 version, 4 using the 2009.1 version of the product at the warehouses. Apart from it the rest 4 warehouses use the SAP EWM for its daily warehousing operations. Recently, the company was divided into Snacks and Cereals divisions where the Snacking division came to be called as Kellanova and Cereals is now called WK Kellogg Co.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handle IT related warehouse operations for 39 warehouses in the US, Canada and Mexico
  • Lead a team of 12 people in India and the US guiding and mentoring them in day-to-day activities and projects
  • Involve with the design and delivery/implementation team to make sure that the changes done on the system are not going to create risks in the existing systems
  • Involved in system (configuration) changes with the project team after understanding the requirement of the sites and implementing the same
  • Provide user training to new site users and provide go-live support to them so that the transition from the old system goes smoothly
  • Regularly involve with the infra vendors to ensure that the monitoring of the system is done with best precision and the operations are affected to the minimum
  • Identify and implement new functionalities to improve warehouse operating capabilities
  • Supporting the plants and warehouses using AGV systems (Egemin/Dematic) and work with the vendor to make sure of seamless application availability and operational continuity
  • Implement new code and optimize existing queries to optimize the application performance
  • Worked extensively on Verilogic (label printing systems) that are used across all Kellogg plants and make necessary configurations for new modifications like addition of new lines, etc
  • Ensure that the tools used and provided by the company are used to the best and propose improvements in the tools as desired to help the project efficiently
  • Make presentations to the management and warehouse coordinators for implementation of new ideas into the IT to improve the efficiency and performance of the application keeping the cost to a bare minimum
  • Define SLAs and make sure that the SLAs are in tandem with the organizational and technical team and is manageable in terms of cost and time
  • Promote ideas to cut down existing costs of IT involved in the current functionalities and processes used in the organization
  • Communicate and coordinate among all warehouse supervisors to identify existing challenges and discuss methods to resolve them within a specified timeline
  • Coordinate among all the interfacing application teams to identify and discuss about existing issues and ways to improve the performance and functional capabilities of the applications

TCS BαNCS Compliance is a powerful, multifaceted web-based application that provides banks with end-to-end functionality for AML monitoring. TCS BαNCS Compliance enables banks to comply with all AML regulatory requirements of the bank, in the country of deployment and its branches in various countries around the world. It is a highly configurable and intelligent AML solution with in-built detection mechanism to track and sift out fraudulent transactions with clinical accuracy. TCS BαNCS Compliance works on a philosophy that is similar to that of DNA fingerprinting. Similar to the uniqueness of an individual’s DNA, the financial nature of every customer is exclusive. Using artificial intelligence, TCS BαNCS Compliance attempts to unravel the financial DNA of every customer and creates a character profile for the customer, which is then used to detect anomalies from the expected behavior of the customer.

These components provide services to retrieve, manipulate and update tax data, which can be quickly selected and rearranged to match the workflow of a particular business process, instead of regarding each business problem as requiring a unique application solution. The main Objective of the Tax Mantra Project is aimed at producing Tax Business Components through the quick and flexible assembly of software components. Component-Based Development (CBD) has been used as the technology to develop this Tax-solution. The main advantage of this application is that it is CORBA-compliant which are exposed through well-defined interfaces.
