As part of the Item modernization project and to bring in the new tech stack to replace the legacy systems, a new architecture was planned where in Kafka is utilized as a middle layer to bring in the data from DB2 to Mongo DB, to build central repository for the Lowe's Items and stores/DC.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Design the DB2 views and tracking table to be able to consume data by Kafka

2. Design Mongo DB schema and collections to store the data

3. Enable the Kafka source and sink connectors to consume and store the data.

4. Designing end-to-end test cases, execution, and creation of reports.

5. Responsible for successful implementation and maintenance of the product.

When new DCs are onboarded to Distribution Item Service, the business need Item info for all applicable items of the DC.This needs to be run when there is a new or existing warehouse onboarding to DIS.The need is to have all items for the location pushed into the topic so they can be loaded to the correct facility. Business need is to Automate the DC Onboarding process for Item and Item Loc Attributes and provide a unified consumption pattern for any DC (BDC etc) onboarding.
Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating scripts, generating various Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Test Execution.
• Created and executed automation test Scripts using Java, TestNG, Cucumber and Maven.
