~ Research and monitor legislative, policy and regulatory developments that may impact the company's business objectives and provide strategic guidance for adopting Roche’s innovation in India.

~ Prepare policy briefs and summaries of new laws, regulations, and interpretations for the senior leadership team and formulate stakeholders’ engagement plans and advocacy strategies.

~ Closely engage with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts at global and regional levels to identify priorities and develop policy positions for Roche in India.

~ Represent the organization on various legislative, policy and regulatory matters at relevant government, trade and industry forums to ensure that Roche is well-positioned and represented with government on broader issues.

~ Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders including various Central Ministries and Departments, State Governments, local authorities, regulatory bodies, think tanks, civil societies, NGOs and industry associations to responsibly shape policy and regulatory landscape.

~ Develop and execute strategic communication plans for Roche in India and ensure content consistency across all communication channels to ensure vibrant and coherent brand communication.

~ Assist senior leadership in content creation, strategic communication, plans and narratives that align with Roche’s strategy and support external corporate brand building to enhance and strengthen Roche’s positioning and reputation among the stakeholders.

~ Regularly coordinate with the International Public Affairs & Communication team of Roche to understand the global policy and regulatory issues and key business priorities of the organization and provide timely feedback on national policy developments.

~ Strategically inform about the company’s achievements/progress and communicate effectively to key opinion and government leaders at the Federal level and State level.

~ Frequently engage with key members from the Trade and Industry Associations like FICCI, CII, USIBC, OPPI and PAFI at various knowledge forums to exchange ideas, gather intel and communicate the firm’s positions on topical public policy issues.

~ Regularly coach and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and capabilities and formulate critical training programs for the professional growth of the team.

~ Execute policy advocacy engagements for clients by leading their interactions and engagements with government leaders and policymakers creatively and strategically on a variety of complex issues impacting clients’ businesses and long-term interests.

~ Prepare robust evidence-backed representations and advocate on behalf of clients with government, industry bodies, regulatory authorities, think tanks and multilateral donor agencies for shaping the right policies for the growth of the sector.

~ Research topical public policy issues, drawing from various sources such as academic papers, government reports, and data sets, internal data repositories to formulate robust policy proposals and recommendations.

~ Prepare comprehensive research reports, white papers and policy briefs that present the research findings, methodology, and recommendations clearly and concisely.

~ Network and engage with various stakeholders including legislatures, policymakers, trade and industry associations, think tanks and opinion formers to gather valuable insights and incorporate diverse perspectives that can help shape policy recommendations.

~ Assist the leadership in driving the Go to Market (GTM) strategy for creating new business opportunities, managing client relationships, accounting and developing new engagement plans, proposals and thought leadership papers.

~ Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify priority areas, growth driver solutions, review account plans and contribute to drive growth and market enablement.

~ Regularly contribute opinion pieces on topical policy issues to leading business newspapers and online knowledge forums to garner greater visibility for the organization and position the firm as a thought leader in the market.

~ Keep abreast of new regulations, legislative proposals, or policy debates that may impact policymaking. Regularly track the implementation of policies and evaluate their outcomes and effectiveness. Identify gaps, challenges, and areas for improvement.

~ Worked closely with both National and International Governments and multilateral donor agencies including the World Bank, ADB, DFID, etc in the implementation of projects in the area of government policy & regulatory reforms, public financial management, revenue mobilization & expenditure management, tax transformation, economic development, investment promotion & trade facilitation, infrastructure development, public procurement, program implementation, monitoring & evaluation, regulatory affairs and thought leadership.
