Potential Contribution Area

Program management, I will be able to contribute most effectively in a Job that requires strong influencing skills preferably a job that involves long term relationship management too. I believe I will be able to best contribute in the area of Program Management. I know my strong influencing skills make a good candidate for sales too. However I would first like to build a core competence in my area of work through Program management. Program management is as much an art as it is a science. On the “art side” fundamental to Program management is a closure mindset – a mindset of getting things done through influencing. Fundamental too to Program management is the ability to negotiate successful outcomes when plans get derailed. I have a demonstrated track record of building 3 businesses. If one thing that a building a business requires is a mindset of getting things done. Getting thins done requires a closure mindset as well as ability to negotiate successful outcomes. Of course building a business requires much more but I draw a parallel only to thos skills that are needed in program management, Wealth Management, Private banking, I will be most effective in the Finance Domain preferably in Private Wealth management or Family office. I have built a small business in the area of wealth management. My AUM today at 4 crores may not be very big but it is remarkable for the fact that I have acquired this AUM in a period of 1 year while parallel learning the ropes of the trade.

Amazing Mathematics

This is a venture that I started in September 2020 and in a period of 1 year has acquired over 50 students., Differentiated Offering. The traditional model requires students to book timeslots in advance. Realizing that this is not the natural behavior of the children I positioned my offering as an online hub of Mathematics where a kid can enter anytime during the day and learn new concepts according to his levels, his speed of working and understanding and not according to the class he / she is in, Differentiated Execution. An offering such as above results in children from various different age-clusters coming together at the same hour. For such a model to work I designed personalized workbook for children. That allowed me to handle at least 7 children every hour, Additional Value Proposition: Problem solving is a game of confidence also. The execution model that I have designed allows different age levels to interact. I have seen that the interaction leads to lot of confidence building of children., Financial Model. To reduce the pressure on sales I had to focus on maximum resale. I noticed that because of the existing design of coaching classes children are often unable to reach out for help when they really need it. By allowing the children to join in anytime I made it easy for them to enroll for the class when they really needed help. It’s an hour based learning each day but by making the platform open different children use it based on their own needs and financial capability. Most children end up using 3 times as much as they would if there were fixed calendar slots., Differentiated sales. By removing the friction of slotting the classes in a fixed hour the children feel empowered to book their own slots. The children themselves invite the other children as they like to study in pairs. The customers become my salespeople., Personal satisfactions. Most importantly kids from all across country and world connected to make it a better social and interactive and cultural place of learning

Argent Asset Management

I started this venture in January 2020 and have now acquired about 40 portfolios under it as of now with an average ticket size of 9 lacs., Trust. The route to Trust is delivering on your commitment. For me that has meant delivering on all service commitments. I retain customers by demonstrating reliability-in-practice. I make it a point to living up to 100% of my commitments. Customers understand, Initially I acquired Friends, Family and acquaintances as customer and thereafter have acquired others through word of mouth, I make my fees on brokerage. I do not charge fees, I have noticed that even today the Indian market is a lot influenced by government statements and policies. And these interventions tend to move entire sectors. My strategy is build around sector rotation. I don’t hold for long knowing very well that these sector movements are purely based on sentiments., To maximize my time I do not offer a differentiated portfolio to different people. I only apply one strategy to all portfolios

Influencing, Relationship Management, Marshaling resources to build businesses from grounds up, The most important thing in business is belief in self, The most important thing in building a business is sales. Sales is like a “feed”. If that feed is happening you can overcome all other deficiencies. Sales and Self Belief are intertwined. A prospect can sense your confidence. The Prospect buys into your confidence. If you are confident then the sales will happen. Confidence in turn is rooted in self belief., Growth happens when customers become your sales people. When that happens not only do you not lose customers but your cost of sales comes down. That allows you to invest your incremental resources into further raising delivery excellence thereby creating a strong positive business cycle, For healthy business growth there is a Need to Differentiate between customer and organization requirement. Money is not free. Delivery has a cost attached to it. Delivery efforts need to be balanced with the cost and time of delivery., And finally the foundational skill is an understanding of what problem are you trying to solve for your customer and remain focused on solving that problem and not get distracted.

Brief On Self

I am an engineering graduate with a very strong academic record. During my B. Tech at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology I was a scholarship holder. Prior to that I was a winner at National Mathematics Olympiad. Post my 10th class I also received a scholarship from Government of Singapore to study in Singapore but I did not exercise that option. Having got married early in 2005 into a business family I could not continue my career even though I had an offer from Infosys. Prior to my marriage I did work briefly for 5 months in Birlasoft though. Over the last couple of years I have successfully set up a couple of businesses and am currently running a Mathematics academy. I also have independently set up a small wealth management business. At this stage for various personal reasons I will like to take up a full time job.
